Can you use a normal mai tei for a newborn?

I know there is a "babyhawk" one for smaller babies, but can a newborn be carried in a normal mai tei? (I'm talking about one with a head rest for head support too)

Babyhawk is just a brand, it's a normal mei tai. Yes they are fine to use with newborns as you can just roll down the body or cinch it in as necessary to make sure it's the right size.

Yes you can, you just have to froggy their legs and sometimes use a blanket for head support (rolled up).
