So last night, for fun I poas, just been feeling a bit rubbish all day and had some sainsbury's own brand tests in my bathroom cabinet. If I ovulated when I think I did (last tues) then I am 6dpo...obviously not gonna get a bfp!! Anyway the Sainsbury's own brand test came up positive!! It was a faint thin line just off centre, even DH could see it.

Anyway, I didnt get excited as I know it's far to early for a result, I tested again with a FRER this morning and of course is a BFN.

I have just done some research and apparently the Sainsbury's tests are notorious for false positives. I am fuming, what a waste of money!! I mean I am not upset about the BFN as I am only 6dpo and wasnt expecting any less but come on sainsbury's you need to take them off the shelves!!

Sorry ladies, if you use a sainsbury's test and you were surprised by a positive I would take a FRER just in case.

GRRRRRRR :growlmad:

Anyone else used these tests??

I used these tests, the blue dye ones right? I got a BFN on them.

Won't be using them again though as I've heard lots of bad things about blue dye tests giving false positives, so unless I get a pink line I'm considering myself not pregnant lol

I am just glad that I didnt do it thinking I would get a BFP, I would have been so gutted. I think I am going to go full digital from now on. Expensive but worth it. I will just have to cut down on the 'poas for fun' :)
