cant take clomid because of high oestrogen level??

hey guys so i was so so excited that this month was going to be my first starting clomid as i don't ovulate on my own we were so happy and i rung them saying my period had started they then asked me to do some blood tests to see if i could start the clomid, then i got a call back saying we cant start as my oestrogen levels are to high, she said i need another test in a week then if they are still high a scan to see whats going on, she said don't think of it as a waste of a month though still have sex every other day, but 8 days on from starting bleeding i am still going!! so will talk to them on monday or tuesday about that but i am gutted, what would make it too high whats wrong with me

Some times you can have a left over follie that failed to ovulate or sometimes a cyst and it will produce high levels of estrogen , sometimes as high as would be during pregnancy , your estrogen cant be too high or too low or ovarian stimulation with fertility meds wont work .
