I've just had a carbon monoxide reading done by my midwife which came back as a reading of 4 which is apparently the lowest level of a smoker.

Little concerned about this - she seemed surprised with the reading as I don't smoke and am not around anyone who does.

I do have a busy route to work so I'm wondering if that's where it's coming from - I might work from home to see if that helps?

Also due to get boiler serviced so will get on this asap.

Anyone else had this test done?

I thought 0-5 was a non smoker 😕 as there is carbon monoxide in the air 👍

Think a lot of it is pollution, I don't smoke and live in a semi-rural area and mine still showed some, if you live in a busy city it will be higher.

Did you take a long breath into the machine? I did this on Tuesday and it seemed the longer I was breathing into the machine, the higher the number went up and I don't smoke either. I landed on 3. She said this was fine as it showed that no carbon monoxide was going into the baby's blood stream. 4 should be fine as well. It's when you're in the 20's, there's an issue.
