Carseats & Fitting services

My sister gave us a carseat but I'm not 100% sure how to fit it properly it seems a bit loose (he's in another car until we get this fitted properly)
I have had a look on the halfords & Mothercare websites which both offer free fitting IF you buy the carseat from their store.
I was wondering if there was anywhere that fitted carseats for you even though you havent bought the carseat from there??
Surely its down to safety & somewhere should be able to help you fit it properly so as your child is sat in a securely fit carseat whether you have bought it from there or not??
We just cant afford a brand new car seat

I went to halfords and tested out carseats and had them show me how to fit properly the one that I decided to buy - then went away and bought it online cheaper.

You could do that - find somewhere that stocks the same carseat and go pretend you are interested in buying in and let them show you how to fit it

You could contact your local police station? When I was at the Baby Show before LO was born, they had several (presumably traffic) police officers in doing demonstrations on how to safely fit a carseat. There might be some scheme in your area where they will show you how to make sure the seat is safe?

Its a brittax one but not sure which style will have to have a look x

Will probably pop in to halfords & have a look see if they have the one we have got & ask them to show us how you fit it x

You can probably find a video on youtube? Kiddicare have made lots too.

I'd say have a look at youtube or if you can find out the name Brittax do online instructions.
We have a Brittax Prince and its pretty simple.

Your local firestation will probably do drop in services too. I know round here yu can pop along to the fire station and they'll show you how to fit it.
