I like Casper and I think the ghost thing is not too relevant now. It's an old film and most kids have never seen it.

I love it, I definitely associate it with Casper the friendly ghost but I don't see that as a big deal. Like someone else said, people will always associate a name with something.

I also think it goes great with Micah

Thought I'd add that my youngest sons name is from a kids film that's much more up todate and alot of kids know it and we didn't have any issues with people associating it with the film and its a very unusual name. The closest we got was 'ohh I've heard that somewhere omg where have I heard that?!?' Lol

I do think of casper the ghost but his generation are not going to even know that film or make the connection. I dont know why but I cannot picture it being used on a person. Im sure though everyone will soon get used to it like with every name people are unsure of. it doesnt take long to hear "I couldnt imagine him being called anything else!"

I recently taught a Caspar and none of the kids made any connection with the ghost that I knrw of.

I really like it. I don't think of the ghost first off, I had a Casper at school and also a friends little boy is called Kasper so I think of them. My ten, nine and six year old have no clue about Casper the friendly ghost.
