I had a bump measurement today, and it says I am measuring 34 weeks when I am only 32 weeks and 5 days, everyone keeps saying ooh your gunna have a whopper

I had a 4d scan on Friday and the sonographer said "ooh she's a good size - you don't do things by halves!" so I know what you mean! I have my GTT next week but I think that's the only issue with a bigger bubba. I think everything moves up a bit quicker with your second? x

I have been measuring 2 weeks ahead since 29 weeks....had a scan last Thursday and he was already 5lb 10oz! People keep telling me I won't go full term and OH thinks I have my dates wrong! (I didn't record dates as we were only just trying and happened on first go!)

Do you have any more scans?

They are giving me another GTT next Monday even tho my last one was fine

Yeah I have a scan on the 13th October also another bump measurement next monday, grr just don't want people going oooh your huge your going to have a big one YES I FUCKING KNOW IM BIG FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!! and now I am 2 weeks ahead, well that just put the cherry on the cake

Fundal height measurement isn't really excact and I read that its fine to be 2cm either side of your date. I was always right on the top line when they measured me with my first two. My first was 6lbs 9oz and my second 8lbs 4oz and I looked smaller with my second. Take no notice I'm sure your baby will be a perfect healthy size regardless of what your bump looks like.

I too am 2cm bigger than "Normal" I have been for the last 2 months. My doc is concerned about the baby's size and is sending me for another u/s. He said the only concern regarding this is for Delivery. He asked if I was sure of my dates (which I am) considering when I went for my 20 week u/s I went at 20+3 and the baby measured 20+3. I guess I will know more within 2 weeks when i go for my u/s.

Actually, you are really only about 1 week and 2 days ahead. That's not bad at all. I was told that as long as you're within 3CM, they don't get concerned.

As of Friday, I was measuring 35 weeks myself, although I was only 33 weeks and 3 days. But, honestly, I think the midwife that I saw on Friday measured differently than the doctor I had at the last appointment. She took the measurement from the center of my pubic bone, whereas I think the doctor took it from the top. So, someone is doing it wrong... Up till I saw her, I was bang on-time.

I'm measuring a bit farther than what I am, and the doctor says I am going to have a fairly big baby.

hun you're only measuring a week & 2 days ahead, this is totally normal :D fundal height isn't even a good indication of baby size xx

Actually, check out Wikipedia and look up fundal height. It will give you more info...Looks like a larger measurement could be caused by breech position as well.

I'm measuring just 28 weeks but baby is transverse so I have absoulutely no idea if LO is big or small. They've said nothing about having a growth scan etc so I guess they can't be that important??

Mines been measuring 2cm's ahead up until my 32 week appointment, but even then it was still measuring 33cm. MW doesn't seem bothered though so I haven't asked any info into it. Just assumed I was either carrying more fluid or going to have a bigger baby since I've gained very little weight over all.

Oh and in regard to breech position measuring larger, my baby is head down :).

I wouldn't be too concerned. That isn't very far off the mark and also there is no way to tell baby's size by fundal height. The only true way to do this is by having a scan.

well at my scan at 31 weeks I was actually measuring 3lb 10oz and the average size for a 32 week baby is 4lb 12oz, so I was a little smaller then ' average'

According to MW baby is going into pelvis head down :/

Wow 28 weeks when your 33 ?? are you going to be scanned for that
