Hi all do any of you have a very cautious lo?.. My 2 yr old makes me laugh, she was on literally a 3 ft climbing frame type of plaything with slide and windows and she was gripped on so tight saying"it's too high mummy" and getting herself in a state! Every steep pavements she stops then grips my legs
Tight to walk down bless her:haha: I see kids her age jumping off them! I hope she gets more daring as she gets older! Xx

Sometimes I wish my LO was a bit less daring! LOL. She's does pretty well in general, but if she get's distracted- whoops! My nephew is very cautious still- always has been. While his sister- not so much! haha. I think it's just how kids are born in a lot of ways- honestly, I would think it would be nice to some extent to have a more cautious kid than visa versa- lol. Only if for the safety of the child! My SD was very daring as a kid- she was jumping off little jumps with her bike (lots of safety gear on) with her Dad when she was maybe 4yrs old! haha. She loves roller coasters and all that stuff- which is nice for me since her Dad hates heights (so we do those things together and my hubby stays on the ground with our LO- hehe). I was not at all daring as a kid though- I kinda hope my LO has a good medium! ;)

Mine was & still cautious but he's getting more adventurous now he's older & more in control with his physical abilities. When he was 15-16 months he used to measure the distance between his head & the table edge before going down under the table to get a toy

He never touched anything before we did, we didn't even babybroof the house.

It's a blessing as I never had to worry about bumps & bruises.

Until now he doesn't try anything before he master it. We had his balance bike since his birthday, but he used to refuse to use it around us. One day he decided on his own to start using it, he was so cautious at 1st but now he rides it with no problems xx

Yes, my DD1 is very cautious also! She only started going up/down steps without holding on in the past month or two even though she's been doing steps for over a year. We are having to babyproof so much more now that DD2 is into everything because we never needed to with DD1. I'm actually happy she's so cautious as I don't have to worry when we're out that she will take off or run into the road (of course I still watch her closely though).
