I am getting so frustrated at my irregular cycles  I have no idea why they are so off each month. This month will be a 50+ day cycle, last month was a 25 day, and the months before that were 42, 35, and 52. It is so frustrating and I hate the fact that if I do O soon and I don't get my bfp I could have to wait over a month just to O again. Sorry ladies just needed a vent...anyone else have cycles like this?

good luck for your :bfp: soon. i had very irregular and irratic cycles too. ovulated on cd51 last cycle, and got pregnant, so there is hope :) :dust:

Yes! My cycles are very similar. My last one was 76 days which was by far the longest I've had (since I started paying attention, lol)...but the one right before that was only 20 days. Before that it was 51, 48, 35, 39, 37, and 43. I know just how you feel...it's so frustrating to be coasting along with no temp shift and thinking "wow, this is already long...and I have 2 more weeks after I O..." I'm on CD 13 today and it just occurred to me that if I had normal cycles I'd be fertile already.

I have no idea why mine are off either. They've always been that way, but I never really paid attention until we started thinking about trying, and that's when I realized just HOW irregular they are. I asked my doctor about TTC and she just said "oh well it will probably be harder since you won't know when you're ovulating, but see what happens." I'm thinking that after this cycle (assuming BFN) I'm going to see a fertility specialist. It's so disappointing to just go day after day after day with no signs of O. :(

So please, vent away!

Wow our cycles are really similar! It was the same with me, I always knew my cycles would be longer sometimes but it never mattered to me before ttc. How long have you been ttc for? I've been trying since July, but although it has been 7 months I haven't had 7 cycles in that time. I always get upset on CD28 when I think about how if I was normal I would either preggo or at least starting over again. But instead I could still be 2 weeks from Oing even. I go through a 40 pack of OPKS a cycle usually because I don't get tons of EWCM and I can O at anytime and I don't want to miss it! Thank God you can get them super cheap online! Do you use OPKS at all? (I just bought a 100 pack:blush:)

We have been trying since August, but just like you even though it's been 6 months it hasn't been 6 cycles...in fact just 3. And because it's so unpredictable, only one of those did we even time it so that we bd during the days before O, and that was just coincidence not planning. I track BBT and CM - I do get a lot of EWCM, but on the longer cycles I get it multiple times, sometimes even with a temp shift that lasts a few days then goes back to normal, so I'll think that I O'd but I didn't, and we end up missing it when it does happen. Last cycle I bought OPKs and started using them, and did get some faint lines but nothing that was close to as dark as the control, and the cycle went on so long that I gave up. Because I do get EWCM I was thinking that maybe I'd wait until I noticed that, and then start using them daily, rather than using them every day for weeks on end.

This cycle I'm really trying to bd every other day at least, the whole time, even past a temp shift, so we don't miss it because I'm waiting for EWCM or a + OPK. But that's taking a toll already, as DH is really stressed at work and just not in the mood, so even when I try to make it feel fun and spontaneous it's still just not as rewarding as one might think.

Do you like the brand of OPKs that you use? I just picked some up from Walmart last time but I think I'll get them online going forward...where do you buy them?
