Hello ladies...I had drinks this weekend too so didn't bother temping. Spencerspiece, my AF is only 2-3 days long too. One day of light, one day heavy, one day of medium to light and then nothing. I had an IUD through my 20s then switched to progesterone only bcp, then in September 2014 stopped preventing...they've been like this ever since. I wonder if it means we aren't building a proper thick lining? I'm looking into it so I will keep you posted.

Dinky, your temps do seem a bit high? But trending down a bit so maybe it will go back to normal...
 
I hope so ltweety or else it looks like I'm set for another anovulatory cycle :(
 
Dink, it's way too early to tell that. Plus erratic or high temps are quite common during AF.

So I decided to start acupuncture next week. I think it will help with peace of mind..even if I do fall pregnant, as it is supposed to help with egg quality, lining, etc...
 
Yeah ltweety your right my temp dropped some more this morning and af is about done. Good luck with the acupuncture!! Sounds good!
 
Thank Dinky--the price is kind of scary. $100 per session! Out of pocket most likely because insurance only covers it after my ridiculously high deductible.
 
Wow that's steep! Is it weekly or fortnightly you will be having it done?
 
Hi guys, currently cd3 and can't wait for af to stop. Been debating getting a digital thermometer to start temping. Due Feb 21st. Wish my dh had a high sex drive we seem to lose all spontaneity, going to put the fun back into things this month. So who is hoping to test on valentines day? I am so obsessed I even purchased a this guy is daddy to and will have my two sons names on with a drawing of a baby and a pink and blue question mark underneath. Going to store it away until I get my bfp and will have it ready to surprise dh. We are on cycle 3 now. Hopefully this is our month and we can move to trimester 1 all together. :=)
 
If I ovulate early again then I'm hoping I'll be testing around valentines! What a nice surprise that would be!

With my first ds I got my bfp Feb 13th. That seems expensive ltweety my sil is also having acupuncture and says it is really helping her. I normally ovulate cd15 at least that when I have got my positive ovulation test the last two month so think testing on valentines I would still be 8 days away from af. Have you ladies thought about names? Early I know but day dreaming about these things helps the wait for me. I like kole for a boy or Ruby for a girl. :)
 
I'd be 11 dpo on valentines day if O on CD14...which I did last cycle...possible only 12 if I O on CD 15 which I have quite often...so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Dinky, acupuncture is once a week! I think there's a package where you get a slight discount, but I think I might like to try it anyway. Here in the US we basically pay for everything. Even if I waited and was referred for fertility treatment, I'd probably be paying close to 10,000 usd per IVF. It would be crazy expensive for us. It is one of the downsides of covering your own health expenses. Sure you have options, but you pay for them with your entire life savings!!
 
Yeah we are lucky we get the NHS but they wouldn't pay for acupuncture we would have to pay for it ourselves, it's something I've never really thought about but I don't think I'd like it.
I'm not sure what it does either Spencer lol is it to relax you? All the needles put me off lol
 
I have a line on my Opk!! Lol getting closer to ovulation. My lines never get positive so I have changed my testing times. 10am and 4pm then will test at 10pm....opting I can see a change
 
Ohhh exciting!!! I took one today, not sure why coz I'm only cd8 lol and there wasn't a line there just a shadow!! Last 2 cycles mine have been positive on cd13 so still got 5 days left to go!!

there is way more research on this than is presented in the article. I have two friends who really liked it and they both had successful pregnancies (well one friend and a friend of a friend). They also said that it was amazingly relaxing, believe it or not, and improved their overall mental health during the ttc process and during pregnancy. I'm totally into alternative medicine anyway, so it's right up my alley :) My first appointment is on Tuesday so I will let you know how it goes.

I have heard great things about it too, but have never gotten to do it. I'm going today for a foot reflexology thing...more in my price range lol....hopefully it works too :)

So, cycle day 8 for me and some strange things going on. *TMI warning*
Had my regular (very heavy) AF for 3 days - but it did start in the evening, which is abnormal, then slight spotting on cd 4 (not normal for me, but ok), nothing on cd 5 and 6...but suddenly on cd 7 I had major "spotting" - actually what I'd call light AF - and it continued this AM...accompanied with cramps :( Its too much to be spotting, it's actual AF style...this has never happened to me, so I am feeling like this cycle is a bust already, and I haven't even O'd yet!

Any ideas on what could cause this??? Low estrogen/too much estrogen/any supplements???

I've been on black cohosh in the follicular phase for 3 months now, this hasn't happened before now though. I've also been taking Royal jelly & super B complex (extra b vitamins). I haven't taken anything today, and think I'm going to stop everything and see what happens.
Oh, I did take Maca this cycle, starting cd 1...that's the only new thing....I bet that's it! Has anyone heard anything about Maca???
 
Maca is pretty widely used. I use it in my Vitanica Pregnancy Prep supplement and have never noticed adverse effects. I can't really find anything that stands out in the known side effects on the web either. Possible complications to those who are estrogen sensitive or have fibroids, uterine complications, endometriosis...
 
Right ladies I need your help, why do my Opk never go positive? I started cd 5 twice a day then from cd 8 x3 a day. I'm now on cd 11 and my lines have now vanished. They were getting darker until today....can't post a pic my iPad is dumb
 
Hmm I'm not sure maybe you have a short lh surge? But if of thought you would catch it testing 3 times a day. Just keep testing and see what happens. My opks have no lines on either lol
