... anyone else getting sick of long cycles?
It's down to my PCOS, I just wish I would get AF so we are at least in a new cycle with a chance of something happening ..!

Aww, im so sorry. That must be the worst :(

It must be so frustrating.
Good luck, I hope things start moving along a bit faster soon.

Hey I've been wondering about u!! I saw u months ago in the thread on ttc with a newish bub. I too have pcos I had no period after having Jace in January, a few weeks ago my doc started me on metformin, I ovulated within days (first natural ov in years), I conceived, which was a huge shock since i gadnt had a period, but had a chemical. I'm now cd18 and waiting to see if I've oved again this month! (Opks never work for me)

ah hello! :)
that's an amazing result from the metformin!
I'm sorry about your chem :hugs:
Good luck for this month! Are you just sticking with the Metformin? Are there any side effects? Hope you're well x x x

It's hard to tell what is a symptom of the met and what is "symptom spotting" lol. I haven't had the terrible tummy troubles most people seem to have though. It took ages to convince the doc to prescribe it for me...it's not specifically for pcos but it has been shown to combat it!
I'm so desperate for this month to be over so I can see if I oved! Are u still keen on ttc soon again? If I am not oving naturally we will probably look into clomid soon, Jace was conceived on my first round of clomid.

Oh I know what you mean about symptom spotting. I was always doing it looking for signs of my first O, using FF but in the end it got too annoying and I deleted the app from my phone & I'm just seeing what happens at the moment.
FXd that you did! How much longer do you have to wait?
I spoke to my Dr when I was diagnosed, he said to try until November & if no success by then, he will refer me. I've got a feeling that we'll probably be still waiting on AF then.
It's now CD 96 ... I haven't actually ovulated since I got pregnant. Which was 17 months ago now.

Yup I come off the pill jan 2012 and never got a period for 4 months took clomid April and BFP in may, had Jace in January and then no period for 6 months til I started the metformin. I'm now cd21 so Im hoping in a week i get AF or a BFP but I'm not optimistic considering in 20 months I've only oved twice and conceived twice I think I've already over used my luck! You should look into metformin to regulate.

It's depressing isn't it, you say your "trying" but your not cos u know without AF you don't even have a shot.
Oh and speaking of obsessive symptom spotting, I've been getting really excited the zit on my chest means something haha. I was riddled in them when pregnant.

Congrats! I'm on cd43 after chemical and hoping I'm not in for another 5/6 months.
Planning on seeing doc in 2 weeks hopefully start clomid if hell give it to me.

Congrats on AF! :happydance: I'm currently sitting at CD50 and waiting for AF too.. I'm on met for PCOS but it doesn't seem to have helped much with my cycles, just need AF to start so I can get back on clomid!

Exactly the same sitch here!

Argh it's so frustrating isn't it? My FS gave me Provera to start AF as well but is asking for me to at least try to hold out a bit longer for a natural AF - apparently you get more luck conceiving if you do?

How much met are you on? To begin with, metformin was great for me - it stopped the excess bleeding I was still having from my last loss (after a D&C even!) and gave me a 27 day cycle, and then a 32 day one.. And then it went wrong from there and they were going 40+ again. :dohh:

I take 1500mg of met. I just started it 2 months ago. Weird thing is when I conceived my son I had come off the pill and not got a period at all for 4 months and the doc told me start clomid immediately (no induced bleed first) so when I was 4 weeks preg my LMP was 5 months ago. Then I had him in January this year and still didn't get a period after so when I fell pregnant last time (my chemical) my LMP was 19 months ago!
So my chemical preg resulted from ovulating a few days after starting met and I was hoping it was the start of something regular but not looking positive :/

Congrats! I'm on cd43 after chemical and hoping I'm not in for another 5/6 months.

Sorry for your loss :hugs:!
FXd for you that Clomid works for you!
Since giving birth, I had a 165 day cycle which ended when I took Provera and had a withdrawal bleed. then got up to CD115 and had AF.
No idea what to expect next!
We were supposed to go back in November to get referred to a specialist, not sure what to do now AF has arrived as PCOS could still cause issues ... what do you think?

What does Met do? xx

It's designed for diabetics to help balance insulin levels but a lot of PCOS women end up with insulin resistance as well - so the drug is quite helpful to them too. However even without insulin resistance it's been shown to be good for balancing out our irregular cycles, and helping with weight loss. :flower:

I'd still go!! You can't continue having 100+ day cycles.
Hence why I wanna have my next baby so I never gave to stress about my uterus/ ovaries again!
