Hi Everyone,

I am just curious if anyone has had to have a cerclage? If you did what was your cervical length? I am very worried. I had some pressure type pains this weekend so they did an ultrasound today and found that my cervix is 2.3CM and it should be 3.5 or more and my uterus was contracting. They said they would like to do the procedure in the next day or 2. I don’t know much about it.

Hey I have no experiences with it. But hope all goes well. When are they doing te procedure? Do you have to be on bedrest?

I see the specialist this morning :( I dont know if they will do it right then or if he is going to do his own ultrasound/exam etc.

Totally stressed out. I have alot of pressure when I stand or walk and the more I move around the worse it gets.

When they did the ultrasound yesterday they said my uterus was contracting :(

Omg I'm so sorry to hear that. Keep me posted. I have heard a lot of great things with the cerclage. You will prob need some bed rest too. Can you feel your uterus contracting?? Is it like Braxton hicks?

I worked with a girl in the past that had to have one and she also had to go on bed rest. It worked for her. She was able to go to full term.

I think the value of clerage with multiples is debateable. Different medics disagree on it value. Good luck x

Yes the procedure is up for debate.

I saw 2 specialists today and both said at this rate I will lose the babies if I do nothing so I have chosen to do the procedure... it's a 3 day hospital stay and they didnt give me any time as the top of my cervix has began funneling and opening for the delivery. I have to go get checked in to the hospital and monitored and my surgery is in the morning.

FX it all goes well I am a nervous wreck!

Well I'm glad they are watching you and doing the procedure. I see a great outcome with it. Keep me posted!!

Good luck hun, I hope all goes well.
