Most of my friends are saying I'm having a boy. Just because I'm not sick to my stomatch.....myth?

Most friends with girls say they had extreme morning sickness and couldnt keep anything down. Friends that had baby boys, had a smooth pregnancy.

Fact or Myth?

That would mean I'm having a girl - I feel awful!

Well, I felt ok until the last week. Now I feel awful.
What does that mean I'm having?! :haha:

could be possible...i have an instic that im carrying a boy and besides the worry i have had an fairly easy pregnancy x x x

Awful that your having a girl? haha kidding.
Ah. I'm sorry you feel awful, I felt that way with my first pregnancy. Once I was 5-6weeks, I threw up all the time! Now, I have the minor symptoms. boobs, cramping, pooping issues and cravings.

If this is true, then I must be having a boy. I've been more focused on boy names anyway. I have no idea what to name a girl if I had one. So maybe that's another sign haha

I think it could be considered fact hon......I believe its one of those old wives tales that often pan out to be true!

ME - plain sailing with DS.....right now sick as a dog, feeling really ill and feeling really  about it all, I have a feeling I am having a girl also :)

 hon about names funny with DS could only agree on a girls name and my agreement to find out babys gender with DH was that we must have a name for him or her or no-go! Right up to night before scan we were still debating  this time I have the perfect boys name but can decide on a girls :dohh: typical

Noooooooooooooooooooo Please don't let this be true!! I had no sickness with 2 pregnancies and had 2 boys. & I want a girl SOOOO bad and am still not sick with this pregnancy. I am praying I just am not prone to getting sick period. LOL. But If I'm blessed with a healthy baby that's all that matters, girl or boy.

With my 6yo Daughter I was in the bathroom for the first 4 1/2 months solid. I survived on Grapefruit, Grilled cheese and gingerale.

This time, I'm not throwing up much, but the nausea is there, and I have big gaps of three or four days without symptoms at all. (And I seem to crave apple pie, salt and vinegar chips and nectarines...)

If it is a boy for me this round, I'd still say coincidence, but it's a cool thing to think about. :)

Myth I had morning sickness severly with all of my boys was hospitailized with the last one as couldn't keep any thing down they are all boys x

The more I read about it, the more I think there's some truth to the myth!
It seems to be panning out that way for most people doesn't it?
I've got twin girls, DH has got a 16yr old daughter from first marriage, and it has been joked that he is a girl-breeder LOL! I've had awful MS this time (I was so exhausted when pg with twins, I can't rightly remember much about my first tri, but I know there were certain foods I could/couldn't eat) and I'm just convinced I'm having a girl again.

Another little tip I've been given recently is that if you're having a girl, you crave acidic things, like orange juice. For boys it's more sweet stuff like chocolate milk.... (I THINK that's the right way round!!!)

Except poppymist who must've been typing same time as me

I am craving orange juice, lemon and can only stomach bland foods like mash and fish :) My husbands family are boy-producers  DH is one of 6 boys and only us and one bro have children both boys (our ds and our nephew!) :) I am one of three girls and my sister has a dd.......I have this feeling I am having a princess this time too :wohoo: Could be wrong I suppose then I would be with poppymist....you poor luv!

My cravings are sweet haha, like fried oreos, cotton candy ice cream. ah. it will be great to have a little boy!

I had a very smooth pregnancy with my DS and all i wanted to eat was chocolate, this time i feel sick tired and cant face eating or drinking anything sweet. Everyone keeps telling me there must be at least one girl in there!

MYTH!!!! I've had two boys and had severe morning sickness!!

Think of things this way.... there's ALWAYS a 50/50 chance of everything with gender, plus if people have all of one sex there's not much to compare to... all their pregnancies could be the same b or g!!! you're always going to get 50% say one thing and 50% the other!!!

The only link there seems to be is that if you had ms with one and not another theres a chance it could be a different sex... my betting is still just 50/50 though! :winkwink:

Myth imo!

When carrying Leo i had horrid morning sickness till around 5 months!! (only mornings though)

this time my sickness is worse though and can at times last all day :(
My cravings are different this time round!

A fact that will prove this a myth.....

90% of pregnant women experience ms BUT 90% of all babies born aren't :pink: :winkwink:
