So my husband and I agreed to name our baby Nya if it's a girl. We decided months ago. I don't really like it anymore. I've always wanted to name my daughter Charlotte, but lately it's very popular.

He has a daughter from a previous marriage, but I don't mind it not matching with her name (Nayla Mattalyn)

Anyway, which sounds better with Samuel Owen?

Nya Charlotte

OR

Charlotte "Charly" (Grace or Elise, not sure yet)

I think Charlotte sounds better with Samuel. They both have an older feel. And Nya sounds to modern next to Samual.

Isn't Nya a bit similar to Nayla?

Charlotte definitely fits with Samuel better as they are both traditional. Nya seems more 'made up'. I actually know a little baby called that but they spell it Naia and are forever explaining how to spell it!

I vote Charlotte. I like Nya but it seems way too close to Nylah and it goes better with Samuel x

Definitely Charlotte, Nya and Nyla are way too similar!

I love charlotte, it's one of my favourite names :)

I love the name Nya, although I've never heard it - very pretty! However - Nya & Nayla are WAY TOO similar and I don't think should be used. I would worry that daughter #1 would feel kind of envious that the baby is "stealing" her name in a way. :nope:

I'm not a huge fan of the name Charlotte - but it def flows better with Samuel. And Charly/Charlee is a very cute nickname!

I vote for Charlotte Elise!
