changing babies name by deed poll

hello!

My LO is 8 months and im happy with her name but i am regretting not adding a middle name when she was born! Does anyone know if i have to change it by deed poll or just change the birth certificate? There is mine and the fathers consent.

You will need to do it by deed poll. You can only change the birth certificate up to 12 months. xx

i thought if u werent changing the original name and ur just adding an extra name u can do that by changing the birth certificate... especially as she's under a year old... im not sure though

I misread, I thought it said baby was 18 months . Yes pixydust is right, you can add a name, you just need to call the registry office that you registered her at and they may send you a form which you just fill in and send back, but some offices request you to go in to complete it. You also need to pay for a new birth certificate. xx
