Ok so AF was due today still no sign of her but tested and bfn this is cycle day 38 for me and I am feeling discouraged on relying on just cm observation. I told hubby last night that if this is not our month then I would purchase a bbt.

However I have no idea how to even do this!! I have a my days app on my iPhone and stuff. Will this create a chart for me? Is ff better to use? When do I temp? Help help help I have no idea how to do this!!

Any and all advice is welcomed!!

I've started charting this month using Fertility Friend (www.fertilityfriend.com). They have a phone app that is really simple and easy to use. They also explain exactly how and when to chart. I think you get 30 days of VIP membership when you sign up (free) which means you get access to all sorts of stats etc. It was confusing to me in the beginning but they're really good at explaining it all. Good luck!

Awesome thank you!!

Where can I get a good bbt?? How much do they cost usually?? (I am in Canada)

I like OvuFriend (https://ovufriend.com), this one is really good and now it's for free (beta stage). I used to chart with FF, but I think OF is more accurate and it's only for those trying to get pregnant (so they do have more interpretation and tools for ttc). But ff is quite ok, too.

And here you have all instructions what to do https://ovufriend.com/faq/checking-...cking-my-fertility-through-ovufriend,151.html
Actually it is easier that it seems to be (the system does everything for you, you just need to enter your observations).
Good luck!!

You should be able to get a bbt thermometer from any good pharmacy. The bbt thermometer has two digits at the end (XX.XX) instead of normal ones that only have one (XX.X). The two digits at the end is helpful because temp changes are generally quite subtle throughout the month.

I looked into Ovufriend but there's no phone app which I really like, as I just need to reach over for my phone in the am to record my temp and you don't have to do it through the phone's browser.

I can recommend Fertility Friend too, its really easy to use, and I got my thermometer from ebay x

I use both FF and OF and i bought my BBT from Amazon and it was £5 inc delivery but that was last year and it got stuck in a drawer until this month :)
