I know I know its a big no no. But its my 4th baby and I was super curious and I'm aware of my body so to say. 35 weeks Thursday. Cervix is soooooo soft and floppy and flat and almost hard to distinguish between everything else. Is this effaced? I haven't tried to really insert a finger but I seems like it would slide right in. Thoughts? (I washed up good, trimmed nails)

I don't think it's bad to check yourself as long as you're conscious of germs, I'm quite curious but never actually tried. Doubt I could reach tbh! That's what I thought effacing was, flat instead of sticky out. Maybe you get ready early as it's your 4th baby

I've checked mine... I use to always check when TTC so don't see why not to check when pregnant...

I'm 36weeks with my 4th and I've noticed this week, my cervix has moved back/higher up behind babies head!!! It feels shorter in length very spongey and a finger space open. But the openness hasn't changed as it has dilated before so it's never 100% closed x
