Yes,but add strong cheese I would use more and a teaspoon of mustard powder to give kick and cover with cling film if not using straight away to prevent a skin,treat as custard bex
If you need a similar sauce for moussaka you can use cream cheese to fold in, eg philidelphia. This makes it really thick and creamy.
