Chicken pox

Iv just found out I'm pregnant woohoo been TTC for nearly two yrs, only problem is my DD has chicken pox!

Am I ok as long as I haven't got them?? Obviously going to speak with Dr tomorrow

Have you had them or been immunized? My mom was pregnant with my brother when I had them as a kid and he has never caught them. He's 30 and has been around tons of people with chicken pox and has never gotten it. The Dr said he could have been born with a natural immunity because mom was exposed to them when she was PG.

No real advice from me just an interesting tid bit!

If you have already had chickenpox yourself, then you are immune and should be fine

Its dangerous in late stages of pregnancy if you have not ever had them...

spoken to the dr today she has done a blood test to check my immunity, just to be on the safe side
