I caught this a while back at around 14weeks, i am now 29weeks but still worry everyday.... I had to stop my antibiotics as they were making me very very poorly and were admitted to hospital on 2 horrific occasions :-( They said i had a good course and my folow up test were negative. I know now it's cleared up but i still worry all the time. Has anyone else had this during pregnancy at any time?I know mine was so early...& It makes me feel terrible like im a terrible mum. Allthough it were not my fault, it takes two to tango but an unfaithful partner is how this happend... A very long story :( Ive been so depressed over this, Just wondering if anyone else has caught this when being pregnant

I Havent, But Didnt Wanna Read And Run. It Doesnt Make You A Terrible Mum :hugs:

Sorry I Cant Help More x

i havnt ever had this but if its cleared up then you should be fine :hugs:xx

Didnt want to read and run hun :hugs: I've never had it, so I can't be much help. But I'm sure if there was anything wrong, the hospital/doctors would have told you. It certainly does NOT make you a bad mum :)

xoxox

Im getting tested for it just now :( Im getting tested for most things just now :haha: as they cant find out whats wrong with me. As long as its cleared up, you'll be fine :) Its only if the infection is there, it can cause problems with baby and also you would be gievn a c-section instead of a vaginal birth.
Don't worry :) Its just one of those things that happen... Hope ure not stil sleepin wi the guy that gave u it :haha: xxx

aw dont worry hun. ive not had chlamydia but i found i had genital warts at about 22 weeks (also thanks to an unfaithful partner  good times) and everythings fine. i know its not the same but yaknow x

As long as you have tested negative since, everything will be just fine x

Agree with Boofs, even though you didnt finish the course of medication if you tested negative you should be fine. Please be careful :flower:

i think we should all be tested for things like that in pregnancy. it was feared i had it because LO had an eye infection whilst in neonatal and they had to test the eyes for chlamydia. apparantly it affects their eyes. it was negative, i got myself tested too and i was fine too.

Wasn't your fault honey, and if its negative now, you're fine. im sorry ur partner was unfaithful. xxxxxxxx

If a baby "catches" chlamydia during delivery they are likely to get conjunctivitis and in some cases it can cause blindness.

If you've tested negative then you have nothing to worry about as LO is inside his/her sac and well protected for anything like that until your waters brake.

It doesn't make you a bad mum. It makes FOB (assuming it was FOB that cheated on you?) a bad Dad for sleeping with some one else and passing a disease on to you putting your baby at risk.
