Christmas cleaning

Does anyone else do a big spring clean before christmas ?? I am going to put my Christmas tree up next weekend but before that I will totally gut my house, I will even repaint my skirting boards Anyone else

I don't go as far as repainting the skirting boards but I do have a big spring clean before the decorations go up.

meeee definitely don't do skirting boards but i do have a huge pre-Christmas de-junking, which i've already done i'll go through and get rid of all the old toys, recycling of clothes and shoes etc. clean out all the cupboards etc i actually find it quite fun and can't believe i'm done now

Yep I have done that to I love doing it, I think I sent about 5 black bags to charity and I am sure you saw I sold a lot of stuff on fb to. I cant wait to get everything sorted, get my tree up and light the Christmas candles

awww sab it is lovely isn't! i love being all cosy with the tree light's on that's why i refuse to do my wrapping till december and we have them up! feels soooooo christmasy!!

Yeah I clean out all draws/old toys/clothes/food cupboards and have a huge deep clean so we can relax over christmas x

yeah the weekend is going to be dedicated to this clean no painting of skirting here though we are giving the living room a mini makeover because christmas dinner is at ours this year xx

i do the old toys and clothes to charity shop, but thats as far as it goes.

however, this year i dont know if i'm moving end november or not - was meant to be but the guy whose house i was renting doesnt know if he will be ready to leave until mid dec - in which case i wont be moving til jan. so until i know whats going on i cant even think about my tree and decs!

yeah i have a big clean and do all my bedding emas eve
also get rid of toys that kids dont play with and clothes that dont fit

oh i decorate too but am not doing that this year as it was only done about 6 months ago xxxx

Yep I am going to start doing it on Sunday We have only just moved at the start of last month though so the house is upside down, but I am going to get it sorted ASAP.

I want every room painted, carpets cleaned, de-junk whole house. Wash all clothes/towels/bedding etc so EVERYTHING is clean over the xmas week

Yep, I won't bring all sorts of new crap into a messy house.. and not without clearing some of the stuff we aren't using anymore out. I am getting rid of a whole bunch of "baby toys" Elyse has, a bunch of clothes, books we're not using anymore.. clearing out junk/trash we have for no reason in the basement/garage/etc. I like a clean house for Christmas

yeah, i do the lounge before i put the decs up, then the other rooms get done bit by bit. I'll need to sort Amelies clothes and toys out though cos she has lots of baby stuff that doesnt get played with much anymore and i need to make space for the 39257439534 toys she'll be getting over christmas and her birthday. I'll do kitchen cupboards and stuff too
+ christmas eve we'll do the beds, quick dust of the house, hoover, clean bathrooms etc etc

Yip I gut the house, declutter all old/unloved toys to charity. Redecorate the living room (anywhere else that needs freshened a bit while brushes are out lol), blinds all down, windows washed, new curtains are a must. All done before my decs can go up.
Christmas eve ive a mini blitz and my new rug goes down.
Always new bedding bought for christmas eve, nothing nicer than getting into bed after a bath with the new christmas pj's lol.
