Christmas costumes for kids

I can't see anything I like and I need some inspiration pleeeeease I'm not very creative at all but if I can make my own without the cost spiralling I'd like to. I'd like violet to be a Christmas pudding but I don't know what to do for Arf. We have three Christmas parties to go to

Home bargains are selling a christmas pudding outfit, I think it was £2.99 so may be cheaper than buying the fabric & making one.
They had others such as christmas tree / santa suits too.
