I was just wondering what you're thoughts are as to what you would class as babys 1st christmas. Our best present ever arrived at 16.17pm christmas day so because she didn't have a christmas morning wake up would you say her 1st christmas will be this year and not the day she was born? I keep stressing thinking she will miss out! (although I know she won't), also how would you celebrate her birthday? hubby says christmas in the morning birthday in the afternoon, but then she only gets half a day :/. People have said to change her birthday officially but I don't really want to do that either as it won't be the day she was born....

i would say this year will be her first, seeing she only had 8 hours of it last year! our eldest was born on 19th december and we don't really even count that year, even tho he was 6 days old!

not sure about celebrating tho, sorry

My LO was 10 days old at xmas past there I classed it as his first wee christmas but its gonna be bad enough with bday and xmas really close together every year :hugs: for you and having them both on the same day! Why dont you hve a party in summer and presents then small present on xmas day for b'day and b'day cake and christmas presents if that made sense lol

My Niece was born on Christmas day and now they have a party for her on Christmas Eve.

you dont class the day they're born as their first birthday so i dont see why you should class that as the first christmas!

Yeah I'd say this Christmas would be the first Christmas. My uncle was born on Christmas Eve and I think they always celebrated his birthday the weekend immediately before Christmas and then did small token presents on the day so he was made a fuss of but his actual birthday wasn't forgotten either :D

Our son was born on Christmas Day 2009 at 8.09am - Christmas Day 2010 will be his first Christmas. As for celebrating we're not sure yet, until he's old enough to understand we will probably celebrate it on Christmas morning - then when he's old enough to have parties will maybe celebrate on his due date instead (20th December)

xx
