Come on then. Nearly 60 days to go surely we can start talking about food now.

Every year my Nan, bless her, gives me some money for goodies. She gave me £40 last weekend which I've put away. Should be mpre than enough for all the sweet treats, nibbles and pop for the kids.

I wanted to order our mains from M&S but a new boiler means a huge dent to my budget. So I'll probably stick to a tesco slot this year :(

Dh brought home the morrisons magazine last week and I can't decide what to have meat wise.
Dessert we always have a Christmas pudding with either brandy sauce or custard, and then another kind of pudding, either a chocolate one or a cheesecake for those that don't like Christmas pudding.
We don't bother with starters unless we have company, and I'm one of those heathens who has Yorkshire puddings on their Christmas Dinner because when all is said and done it's a glorified roast and a roast needs a Yorkshire pud or it isn't complete hahaha
We always have sprouts, honey roast parsnips, roast potatoes, gravy. Then any other veg will vary.
This post has reminded me though that the boys will be expecting crackers I better add that that my list

Seriously may need to start panic buying wine :xmas13: DH popped to Co op yesterday and they had nothing on the shelves. :-O

No wine?! The Co-op I work in that's the one thing we don't have a supply issue with. I mentioned to DH the other day that out the back all we've got is copious amounts of wine and boxes of mince pies and he thought it sounded like it called for a party hahahaha
We are low on pretty much everything else though

^same here. Alcohol and cigarettes we have loads in stock, but everything else we are low on.

Need to send them to my store :xmas13:

Anyone know when tesco or asda slots come out for Xmas food? Xx

I have a reoccurring asda slot and had an email yesterday to say they were open for those with reoccurring slots now (as the slot doesn't count from 20th December through New year) and that we had access a week early as a perk

I used to have a recurring slot but cancelled it during the lockdowns. I'll have to keep an eye out for dates. X
