Christmas Morning

Yay!!!! I'm so excited! I've managed to convince my mil that we won't be going there until lunchtime on Christmas Day so we will have Christmas morning just the 3 of us!!! Cormack will be able to wake up in his own bed!!!

I can't wait to be able to start our own traditions. We're going to have stockings, a lovely breakfast and then a walk on the Heath before we head there.

I dunno what we'll do this yr. Last year I was way too excited so me and amelie got up at 5am Had to watch tv til OH got up at 7ish! This year we'll get up at 7ish prob and open some presents and have a little play with them then have some breakfast and open some more. Get dressed and washed then open the rest of them and make preperations for the fam coming round. I can't waiiiiiiiit!

Yeah I love xmas morning and Christmas day in general come to that! This'll be the first year we'll all spend together. We'll be seeing OH's mom on xmas eve and then spending boxing day with my family and Christmas day is gonna be just the three of us. Not sure what we'll be doing yet, but really excited for it xx

Last year when Theakston got up we brought him in bed with us and did his stocking and then had breakfast in bed (he wasn't weaned then so this year that's out of the question!). Then OH and I had our stockings while Theakston played with his various bits. Then we went downstairs and faffed around a bit, watched TV, played with his stuff. Then he had a nap so we did our prezzies and then when he woke up we went for a walk, had lunch, then did his prezzies with him.

This year I think it'll be roughly the same. We'll all do stockings in bed, then go down for breakfast & TV, maybe open a couple of his presents for him to tire himself out with and then let him nap, do our prezzies, have lunch, go for a walk, then finish off his prezzies to keep him occupied for the afternoon while we eat chocolate and doze haha.

I love the idea of stockings in bed, I think ill do Lilly a little stocking on the end of her bed to open as soon as she wakes up christmas morning. Just with little treats in x

We always had a very small stocking on the end of our bed as kids, to let us know that Father Christmas had been! Usually just a few choccies and something small like a funky pen or something. I'll be doing the same with Ellie even though she'll only be 7.5 months!

Probably get up when Ellie wakes, have brekkie and open a few of her presents, E can have a nap, then more presents. Just the three of us all day this year I think!

That is great that you get to spend some time at home

We usually put a stocking on the children's beds too. When we get up, we have some breakfast, usually something quick and then present time. Spend a few hours here, then get picked up/get a taxi to my parents, boxing day is the same without the present opening.

I'm a big kid so I wake up about 4.30am/5am Even before the kids, then I make loads of noise to get them up

Then all we all try and wake up my partner Always a fun game. Quickly eat breakfast then it's normally prezzie opening by 6am

oh im not leaving a stocking in her cot, no way I'd wake up to a baby covered in chocolate and sweetie wrappers and all her toys scattered around her

Cormack's stocking will be in our bed!! Although I have a slightly odd child, he can get out of bed now but prefers to sit there in the morning and shout.... "mummy, daddy, Cormack wake now!!" until we go in to get him!
