If I go to my mums, she always does prawn cocktail (stuck in the 70's!)

Last year they came to us and I did deep fried camembert with onion marmalade and warm dinner rolls. Lush! :happydance:

It's tradition in our family to have a cold fish starter be it prawn cocktail, smoked salmon or a salmon mousse thing

I'm just reading the Xmas Good Food magazine, and they have a recipe for a Smoked Salmon and avacado terrine starter. It looks lovely!
