Christmas.....

Ive bought a few things for xmas! ive got my niece some high school musical stuff from the disney shop and this sciency goo game thing for my nephews x

:saywhat: How dare you say the 'C' word! Especially in September!! :haha:

No i havent started Christmas shopping and I dont intend to do any either. I dont like Christmas and neither do many in my family so none of us are fussed. We all have a big dinner together and sometimes buy a few small things for each other but we dont go over board

I love Christmas, it's my favourite time of year, and I'll be starting my shopping after my 20 weeks scan in a few weeks time. I have already decided what I'm buying my MIL, FIL and SIL so just my parents and brother and a few friends left to choose pressies for.

no, but i really need to get started soon while i can still waddle about!

No but i lovvvve christmas and i think everyone to their own - september is NOT too early to start buying things and thinking about it at all! If it makes people cheery then why not? :hugs:

Im totally going to start buying soon tho. and ive got a week off in nov with my DH when we are going to a london christmas fair and to see the Harrods christmas window :)

cant wait :happydance:

hahaha i know i know, but I get really tired now when Im shopping so I can just imagine what it will be like when im the size of a whale in December, plus I cant stand all the Christmas shoppers lol :p Im just picking up a few bits here and there :)

I have
Wouldn't normally start at this time of year (or even before 2nd week in Dec actually!) but as I'm due Xmas Day I thought I'd better start and get a few bits as I see them...

I Christmas shop all year long, lol. If I see something that I know someone would like, and it's at a good deal, I'll grab it. Into the closet it goes until further into the fall when I take out what I've gotten and start my real list. Usually I make a bunch of stuff, too, but this year I think only a cousin and my Dh will get something made! I'm too busy making stuff for the baby, lol.

I need to start, going to start next friday which is payday. with only 2 paydays left that i can actually buy things with so panicking like mad, as still have to get baby bumps stuff aswell :o

I have!
Bought a gift for DH - he wanted a fireman theme for our son's nursery since he's a fireman. I veto'd but purchased a toddler set of Seseme Street Firemen as a compromise that the room will be that theme when the Baby's a toddler :)

OH CRAP don't mention that word! We got married in Dec last year and are still paying that off, we bought a house last month and also found out that I was expecting the month before so i can't handle anything else!! Christmas is cancelled. Unless people want to buy us baby and house things or throw money our way of course.... LOL x x x

I won't be this month! Car insurance is due :( I will probably start after my 20 week scan on 9th November... that'll be plenty early enough!!

I'm planning to start in the next week or two. Between me and the OH we have a large family so we have to start early in order to spread out the cost of presents. I love it especially anxious to see my son's face as he opens up this years gifts

I do this too.. shop all year.. i started after christmas last year.. and all year through.. :) cant pass up the great deals..

We got my stepson all done last week and his mothers present a month ago. Hubby and I are probably going to just buy the big nursery items as our presents to each other. We really dont need/want anything as we already have plenty of tech toys and gadgets. Our gift to ourselves was getting rid of all credit card debt this year and we won't be using them during Christmas either! My family doesn't spend much money on Christmas. It's not that they don't have the money, but they hated seeing friends spend tons of money on mountains of rarely used toys for the kids. I agree with that. Id rather get something special and then spend the money on experiences like Disney world or other parks where my kids will remember for years.
If you don't like spending tons of money, one idea is a dress up box. My stepson loves pretending he's his favorite superhero or ninja and I waited til the day after halloween and loaded up on tons of costumes at different stores at 75% off. Girls love dress up too and they had plenty left over.

Yes, I have started my christmas shopping... sod that if you think I am gonna be trapsing around the shops christmas time at 35+ weeks preggers... NAAAAA!!! :p

I plan to get it all done before my birthday (10th november) and relax during my maternity leave and enjoy my last christmas with my sexy soldier just us two, and him being around... still wont know if he'll be here for christmas next year *fingers crossed* he will be!!

Im pretty much done, dont wanna be doin it when im hugely pregnant.
