Cleaning up. What do you do? (TMI Warning)

Sorry if this is too graphic, but this is a question that's been eating at me for a very long time. I've almost always used condoms because it's "cleaner" and simple. I've used them regardless of the bc I was on. But apparently on here and in real life, I'm the only person I know that doesn't mind (or perhaps even enjoys) using condoms. So for those who are not actively TTC or NTNP, what do you afterwards with the mess? Do you just clean up your belly in bathroom? Or do you use a pad for the rest of the day?

Baby wipes, clean up then in the bin. Done... And leaves a fresher smell afterwards

I also hate condoms! When on birth control I usually use a tissue and then run to the bathroom, when not on birth control (like now) he pulls out, so that is where it gets really messy as we stay at his parents - we take tissues to bed and then go clean ourselves up one by one!

We have some towels what were my terry nappies that we keep handy for clean up. Usually I just hold it in place while I go to the bathroom to clean up properly. They are my general "messy situation" cloths, I just put them on a boil wash with OHs chef whites. 21 years since their first use and wash, they still get used every week lol!

That's what I used to do waaaaay back when but then I realized *stuff* would still be leaking out by the end of the day. That's what made me start insisting on condoms...it wasn't fair that he could wipe up shower off and be good to go, but even after a shower, I'd still be .....well you know.

Want a laugh? The fist time I had sex without a condom at age 19 I didn't realise "stuff" would come out, until the guy chucked a toilet roll my way from the bathroom and I asked him why. Talk about embarrassing when you're trying to act all grown up and cool!

I'd always used condoms before, it was my first time on the pill haha

OMG I feel the same way! I have no problem using condoms because it is less mess for me. I do not ever clean it up. I will literally gag. So DH uses a sock or something to wipe it off of my stomach or wherever it goes. I just lay there. lol... when he goes inside... that is different. I just up and run to the bathroom and sit there for like 20 minutes while it comes out. I really hate when he does that though because it comes out for like 2 more days and I need to wear a panty liner all day. That is why I almost like condoms more because it is so easy to deal with after.

sarah your story nearly had me on the floor dying from laughter! I would have just died right there in front of the guy if that happened to me.

mrsgax high five! finally i'm not the only one. i make DH clean it up too when he makes a mess....hey, that's his mess not mine haha.

I too hate condoms!! We have used the pull out method for years!! We always have kleenex by the bed. I just use them to wipe off and then I always go the bathroom afterwards or I get a urine infection. So if I miss anything I get it at the toilet. As for a pad, you shouldn't need one even if you are keeping the swimmers in. Or at least I don't.

I like using condoms, too. I don't see the problem with them and they're so much safer!

When we do pull out occasionally, we wipe me down with tissues, and sometimes I have a shower afterwards. Or a lot of the time I swallow it and then there's no mess.

ETA: Also, for my vag, whether it's pull out or with condoms, I always have to within 5 minutes after, otherwise I get a UTI. The 2 times I didn't do that I got a UTI the next day.

I always heard that a really good way to avoid urinary tract infections is to go pee after sex, so I've kind of made a habit of that.

I have never not used a condom so I'd never really thought about this until this thread. I'm quite squeamish about messes so I won't enjoy being the one to have to tidy up for a change! But it'll just have to be a case of tissues, baby wipes and a trip to the bathroom. I hope I'll get pregnant quickly when we start TTC so he can go back to be the one tidying up!

I hate condoms and since I'd been on bc we haven't used any, but after my IUD was removed a few weeks ago we were "forced" to use them again...

However, the time we didn't use any there's always a mess. We wipe it down with kleenex or toilet paper and usually after I go to the bathroom and/or take a shower. I always need pantyliners though, otherwise I'd look like I peed my pants... (sorry, TMI!)

I'd go with I'd rather not have sex than use a condom hahaha. When hubby and I were dating we did the pull out method, while I was on BC. We were so excited when we got married because we didn't have to pull out anymore. Honestly, I wouldn't go back now hehe. It's true you do "leak" a bit throughout the day but I just go to the bathroom afterward and try to clean up as much as possible but the rest of the day you find yourself in the bathroom more than usual.
