ClearblueEasy Fertility Monitor Question

This is our second month using the CBEFM and last month was as normal as can be expected for the first month using it - quite a few "high" fertility days (as I know is common on the first cycle using the monitor) and then two "peak" days on CD 16 and 17. This month, however, I am on CD 16 and an still on "low fertility" with only one bar! I am slightly freaking out because I know I may be O-ing late this month, but it would seem like I should have at least gotten a "high" reading by now... I started thinking, Well if I don't O every month that would explain our issues TTC, haha. I am charting this month for the first time, too, and haven't had a temp rise yet so I don't think the monitor has missed my O...

Anybody have odd CBEFM readings like this?

I used the same monitor for a year and it only read peak twice (second time we did get pregnant but m/c). My sister used it as well and had peak every month. Maybe check if you are wetting the stick enough or too much. Do you get your AF regularly? I swore I was never ovulating but was assured if I got AF then I definitly did.

Good Luck and don't give up. Know several people who had success using this monitor.

Yeah, I have ALWAYS had AF every month, never missed one. This is also the first month I can remember that I haven't seen EWCM by now so that's a bit odd too... I may just be super stressed this month due to all of this and going to O late. And really, I guess it doesn't matter too much since we're doing an IUI w/ clomid next month... So even if I'm somehow, all of the sudden, not ovulating, the clomid will handle that, haha.

Still have hope,I got my peak the 1st month on 15 &16 and 2nd month not til 18 & 19 which isnt like me but there is still hope ...

Some people go from lows straight to peaks.

Thanks everybody! That's exactly what happened. This month I got my first 2 bar day on CD 17 and then straight to 3 bar peak the next day. Guess all the stress pushed back O day a couple days

can the monitor be used if I have pcos? I'm not sure if I do yet but I always get positive opks, and I don't want to waste my money if this won't work fo rme

I have a friend that has PCOS that has used it to get pregnant with both of her kids. She said that she got a ton of two bar days ("High fertility") over a couple of months with no 3 bar days. But then then got a 3 bar day ("peak fertility"), BDed, and got pregnant that cycle. Same thing happened with TTC her second child too.

This is my first month with the CB monitor, I have always been convinced that due to my long cycle that I ovulated on around day 21-23, however a week earlier I got a peak, which shocked me!
Anyway was a little freaked that maybe the monitor is making it up!! Ever the cynicist!
I suppose I'm asking if this happened to anyone else?
Now got to endure the wait for the next few weeks- especially as never know when I am due to cycles doing what they want when they want!!!

have any of you guys had any joy since your posts on here?
