Hi everyone

I just want some feedback about clomid. I have had blood tests after only having had 2 AFs in a year since coming off the pill. PCOS doesn't look likely according to my blood tests though I'm due a scan in 2 weeks time to check. I have slight hyporthyroidism but am starting on thyroxine today though Drs don't think this will be effecting my cycle at the level it is at.

So, Dr is thinking fertility specialist will put me on clomid. Do you think it will get my AF's starting again? Also, can I start it mid cyle as my AF might not be due for a few months or is there something else that could get my Af going. I forgot to ask the doctor these questions. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks x

I don't think you can start clomid mid cycle. Usually doctors tell to take it in the beggining of the cycle, CD 1,2,3,4 or 5.
good luck

Hello Lucy79
I'm hoping to start Clomid soon. I do have fairly regular periods (but they're all whacky - I ovulate day 25 and get my period only 8-10 days later), but I'm sure that if you don't have periods, they can 'induce' one with a drug so that you can then start counting from cd1 and taking your Clomid accordingly. x

Hi chick,

Your doctor can give you provera or something similar to take for around 10 days. Within a few days of stopping it, you'll get a period and start clomid.
I'm looking likely to be going on clomid soon too. I have been diagnosed with PCOS even though my bloods were all fine and the ultrasound came back clear though.

First they'll put you on Provera to start your period and then you'll start the clomid.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've been freaking out a bit recently but am trying now to be positive about the scan and the clomid. Good luck to you all with ttc!
