Clomid and spotting

I hope someone can help me. This is my first cycle with clomid. I ovulated on CD16. On CD 26 or DPO 10 I started to spot. Today CD31 or DPO 16, still the same. What do I do??? I did three pregnancy tests and the one today is extremely faint positive... I am getting lots of cramps now also My normal cycle is 33 days long and I do ovulate normally on my own. Dr wants to try clomid because I had two miscarriages now. Each one took one year to conceive...

CD 21's progesterone level was a healthy 109... Can't see my specialist for another 6 days because he is away... Can anyone help?

Hi, i am on my first cycle of clomid, but not had any spotting.. though only on dpo 4, if you got a faint line then a line is a line! what type of test did you use? try again tomorrow morning I think it sounds positive to me...

Thanks Kiki09, the spotting turned into painful flow of red period I guess the prolonged spotting was a side effect from clomid... i am so upset right now DH thinks we did achieve a pregnancy but didn't stick why...........

I am sorry hun, that is hard to take, clomid is known to give you spotting and affect your cycle, your DH is trying to be positive, his way of dealing with the frustration maybe, dont give up, clomid has lots of success stories, sometimes it just takes a few goes on clomid...that is what I keep telling myself

Yea, just all new at this clomid thing. Now I know what to expect I won't be so all over the place next time run. I am ready for round 2!

I'm exactly the same hun.....first round of clomid, 2 x mc's and am spotting way beyond when my AF is usually due. I've had nothing but neg tests.

I'm sorry AF has turned up for you, after a faint positive. I'm guessing it was maybe a failed implantation...which is a lot more common than people imagine. My FS said he expects it in up to 60% of cycles.

My test have been totally negative...other than some horrendous evaps!

Hope round 2 is more successful for you x

I am pregnant right now because of clomid. We suffered from unexplained infertility....had been trying for 3 yrs. I got my BFP on my 2nd round at 100mg on cd 5-9. Just know that clomid will lengthen your cycles. I had painfully long cycles, but it was definitely worth it. The one thing I did differently with my successful round is I invested in the $40.00 First Response Ovulation Predictor Kit. We bd'ed the morning after my positive opk, just like they do with IUI.

My cyles were normally 24-28 days (irregular), but with clomid it was a regular 29-30 days long. I appreciated the length because it meant that the babies had more time to nestle.

I did do clomid last year. we did 6 cycles of it and didn't get our BFP. EXactly a year later...I requested it again....the second cycle the second time around did it!

I never spotted on clomid during my lp. The month we got our BFP I spot on about 2 days before af was due. It was implantation...I got my BFP six days later.

During my ssecond try with clomid, I met a nurse who told me that she has 3 kids due to clomid. All three of her babies were clomid babies...and not to worry about it.

I really appreciate your reply. It gives me hope... I am now on second round of clomid 50mg from day 3 to 7 of my cycle, day 2 and feeling teary I wasn't like that the first time... I just really hate this

When you did six months of clomid last time, did you combine it with iui? I checked my ovulation with clomid and bd the day before and the day it turned positive. Spotting started 10 days after ovulation so I think it was implantation bleed especially that I had a faint positive 5 days after spotting. BUT it still turned out to be unsuccessful. Thinking about it just makes me so sad.... I don't know how to go through this...

Clomid can make you very emotional, it did me for the days I was taking it.. then after about day 6 it eased off and cramping etc just took over!

You will get through this as it will help you get your baby, that is how I deal with all the ups and downs, just keep telling yourself, nothing worth having is easy!
