Clomid, but ovulate naturally?

Hi girls,

A little about me and our situation... we have been TTC number 2 for 16 months. My husband has low motility and sperm count but I ovulate naturally every cycle. My hubby has tried Tamoxifen for 12 weeks as prescribed by our consultant and it has risen his levels but not massively.

Our consultant wants us try clomid for a few cycles and if this doesn't work then it looks like IVF is our only hope.

My question is, has anyone ever been prescribed clomid for male factor infertility and if so what was the outcome? Our consultant seems to think that we will have a 60-80% chance of conceiving within 4 cycles.

I'm not really sure how it works for males, but from what I understand it can potential release more eggs? Which could give the sperm a better chance of catching an egg. I'm sorry if I'm not much help. Good luck!
