Hi ladies! Was wondering if any of you can help with my decision making! My DH and I have been TTC for 9 months or so. I have been DX w/PCOS. I OV on my own in June after a 90 day cycle, got PG ended sadly in MC. Since then, have gone through all sorts of testing to determine that I have PCOS. Not overweight (bmi 19.5), no excess hair, but do have cysts on ovaries. I have been on the clomid fence for awhile..looking to start in Dec. What do u think my chances are if conceiving if I do not take clomid. I am currently on CD 75 and praying I ov again on my own!

In my opinion, I'd go on it if I were you. The fact that your cycles are currently so long aren't helping your chances since you're having so few cycles per year. While other women are having 10-12 cycles, you're having just a handful.

Have you tried Soy Isoflavone supplements? Might be a good option since you're not really wanting to go on Clomid.

Either way though, I'd do *something* if I were you.

Good luck!

what are your concerns with clomid?

Im in a fairly similar situation. been "trying" for over 7 months but have only had one cycle and not even sure if I even ovulated or not... considering clomid as well. have an appt at the end of december to discuss.

good luck!!

Hello ladies, I'm in the same boat!! Got FS appt soon and thinking about asking for clomid! I was put if by the chance of multipiles but my cycles are 50-60 days long, in the 7 months of ttc iv ovulated once!! My OH has low motility and 0 morphology so our chances of conceiving are very low which with me not ovulating it's zero now!!

Thanks for the replies ladies. I think I am afraid to take clomid for a few reasons. I am definitely concerned about multiples. My Dr said we would have to monitor me closely because my egg reserve is " two standard deviations better then someone else my age" (I am 28)...which is good and bad. I am glad my egg reserve is good, but definintely worried about mroe than 3..which he said is not common on clomid. He said my chances are increased. I also am scared it wont work...they way I look at it sometimes is at least it is still an option for me. I guess it gives me a little hope. The truth is I am not getting any further to actually having a baby by talking about it or waiting on OV. I have to do something. I am pretty much 100% positive I am going to start it in December. I have to take Provera to bring on AF and then will have to go for US on days 3.

i also do not ovulate and sometimes have mega long cycles. My FS wants to put me on Clomid aswell but I wouold like to try naturally for aslong as possible. I tried soy this cycle and i ovulated on my own on CD17!!! so i am defnitly happy with the stuff, now i am just waiting to see if i get my BFP!

Thanks Tanasha! I see you got your BFP! Congrats!! I have been thinking about soy but am currently on CD 76, so just waiting for the :witch: to arrive or to finally Ov. Long cycles are terrible! Happy and Healthy 9 months!

hi, i had clomid and i got pregnant on it 4 times, Now i have 4 beautiful boys , its up to you but i'd give it a go especially as youR husband has sperm issues ,and you have long cycles so why waste time?
