After 12 months, 14 cycles of ttc with no luck... I had an appointment with my OB today, and he prescribed Clomid. Since I am cd5 today I will start taking it this evening. I'm nervous and excited. I have been charting most of the last 14 cycles and I have always ovulated, but still no BFP... hoping for the best on this new chapter of our journey.

Anyone else in the same boat, with just starting Clomid?

Im on my second round of clomid trying for baby #2 but its been about three months since my last lot of clomid. You take clomid at night? My doctor said to take it in the morning as it works better. But I have PCOS so I need it to work the best that it can. Best of luck for your first round of clomid. How much are you on?

Clomid round 1 for me as well, im taking my last pill tonight.

I took 50mg CD4-8 because when doc gave me the pills i was already CD4. Next cycle he would like me to take CD2-6 tho. Lets hope there will be no next cycle:happydance:

So far, i got achy boobs, acne and ewcm. Im bit confused about ewcm since i always hear how clomid dry cm up.

oh im taking mine at night, never heard of morning working better:shrug: i shell try that next cycle!

Doctors normally only say to take it at night if you get side effects, so you sleep through them. I get hot flushes and become moody on clomid.

So i finished taking my pills and im cd9 today. Got major cramps all day as if im gonna ovulate. Also hav ewcm:wacko: cant wait to get out of work and do opks! hardest part of taking clomid is gonna be guessing ovulation

I am also on 50 mg, I started on cd5 and taking until cd9.

I was told to take the pills at the same time everyday and that time of day didn't really matter, so the evening works best for me.

I haven't had any symptoms as of yet, and I started opk'ing today. Faint line as it should be for day 8... I usually O around cd12... so we will see what happens. I am so excited.

I got pretty noticeable faint line on my opks too but I read that we shouldn't start opks until 48 hrs after the last pill.

You didn't get any cramps? My cramps started after 4 tablets of clomid. Who is ur cm?

I got cramps pretty much straight after the last pill. I'm taking my clomid CD 2 to CD 7 so I should ovulate fairly early.

I just noticed I typed "who is ur cm" instead of how is ur cm lol

so cramps are normal, I'm thinking that I will ovulate cd14 but in getting pretty noticeable faint line on my opks so far

Last pill will go down today. So maybe the cramps will start after that...? Not sure what to expect. I always test OPK early as I have O'd as early as day 10 before!! My cm is there.. I would say watery.. Not sticky or stretchy yet.. Doc said to abstain today and tomorrow cd9-10 then every other day from cd11 to 18. Just curious if that is the same across the board? Then I have my prog test on cd22

Hello! I just wanted say good luck! I just finished my first cycle of Clomid at 50mg. I was so nervous when day 14 arrived and I hadn't O'd. By using OPKs and temping I was able to confirm ovulation on CD 19. A blood draw at 7dpo confirmed O. Looks like I am getting ready to start AF since my temps dropped and I am spotting but I am very excited that Clomid words for me. I noticed no side effects, I took it at bedtime along with Tylenol PM because I get chronic headaches. Good luck to you on your first round!

Hold off on committing to which day you are taking your progesterone test until you confirm O with temping. You need to wait until 7dpo to get high enough progesterone levels to confirm O. Good luck! Since I O'd on day 19 with Clomid I tested on CD 26.:flower:

My doc told me to start BDing right after the first pill since I ovulate as early as cd10-cd14 but I'm cd12 today n no sign of ovulation yet. Also my doctor didn't order progesterone test beaches he said I'm not concerned about it:/ we did two 7dpo tests before

Hi ladies, mind if I join? I have PCOS and been ttc2 for over a year. Dr finally prescribed clomid and I'm taking 100mg cd2-6. Today is cd4 and this is the first time taking clomid. I don't O on my own at all very nervous. AF was quite light, but maybe that's normal for an annovulatory 20 day cycle?

I'm also on my first cycle of clomid - day 28 (11dpo) and not tested as I'm too scared it will be negative. But AF not due for 3 more days so let's see how long I hold on. I ovulated day 17 - high d 22 progesterone. To be honest I'm just so happy this first cycle has worked for me and I've ovulated for the first time since my miscarriage a year ago. A pregnancy would be a real bonus.

Ooo good luck I have everything crossed. What dosage where you on? What days did you take it? Do you O on your own at all? Xx

I took 50 Mg CD 2-6. I'm also taking 500mg metformin twice a day.

But of a long story - I have never ever had a regular period. 42 days at the shortest - and upto 100 days at times. As a teen/twenties my GP just shrugged and suggested I go on the pill to 'make it predictable' without ever getting to the root. I was told coming off birth control to conceive that the pill getting out of my system and didn't bleed for over 9 months. When I finally bickered that I fit criteria to be referred to fertility clinic 18 months on I found myself pregnant. That first positive pregnancy test was 77 days after my last period - but also got a 1-2 weeks on a clear blue digital - IE I had just conceived and dating scan proved it.

I've had another unassisted conception last year during a 42 day cycle - sadly lost at 12 weeks.

I have not had a positive opk or even close in the last year. It's fair to say 6 years - 2 pregnancies. I can ovulate - just not very often or predictably!

So excited that my body did what it is supposed to do this month!

How did people find the side effects? I think I was a really nasty piece of work to my husband this cycle - shouting at him about the tiniest thing - and that is not like me at all! And very very tearful.

Luckily I don't seem to have had any side effects. Before I got pregnant with my daughter I had a year without any ovulation and no periods. Went to see a fertility specialist who said I could have clomid but only if I lost some weight. Went back 6 months later and although I had lost 1.5st it wasn't enough. Was told I wouldn't get pregnant naturally. Two weeks later I found out I was pregnant and had my daughter. I breastfed her for 20month until I decided to wean as we wanted to ttc again. That was 10 months ago. About three months ago I went back to see the FS to see whether they would at least run bloods and give me provera to induce a period. Got given provera and told to have bloods taken st cd2, cd21,24,28 to see whether I was ovulating. Again was told I could have clomid if I lost weight. About 4 weeks ago I decided it was time to get serious about losing weight (I have terrible will power!!) and started eating low carb foods and following the Atkins diet. In four weeks I've lost 1.5st and low carb is really working for me. Cherry on the top was when I went back for a follow up to see blood test results at the fertility specialist I saw a different DR who went back over my history and said I wasn't ovulating because of the PCOS and prescribed my 100mg clomid for three months. If I don't O or get pregnant I have a follow up in three months to get a higher dose for another three months. It was really refreshing as she didn't mention my weight once. All other Drs see that I'm overweight and say that's why I'm not ovulating and don't acknowledge the PCOS.

Any way sorry for rambling. Today is the last dose is clomid then I start taking opk and I'm already temping.

I didn't have many side effects, just cramps from cd7-11. Today I'm cd13 my temp went up but no positive opk yet nor ovulation cramps
