Clomid & testing

Hi all,

I have finished my first month of Clomid after finding out i am suffering from PCOS.

I have had quite a few early pregnancy symptoms and did a pregnancy test on day 29 but it was

Im not sure when to do another test as im not sure when the is due as my cycles have been all over the place. 2 months on and sometimes 2 months on.

Has anybody had any experience of Clomid and also when do you think I should test again?

I think that Clomid can increase PMS symptoms (sore nipples, bloating etc). I would test again, but just keep that in mind too, so it doesn't drive you mad. I am starting round 6 tomorrow, and it is very hard to distinguish (for me anyways) whether AF is coming, or if it is something more. I really hope that it is preggy symptoms for you though! I am on my second round of clomid. I started my period on my regular 13-15 dpo...

I did notice that I ovulated earlier in my cycle than normal, so my cycle length was shorter... It was a good thing (get to start my second round earlier) and a bad thing (no BFP).

You should still have the same luteal phase unless you are taking progesterone... Progesterone has a tendency to lengthen your luteal phase and give you false prego signs and high temps.

Clomid has lengthened my by 1 to 2 days. I think it's quite common for it to do that.

I found I had regular cycles on clomid as well. I'd give it 7 days to retesting. Any idea when you O'd?

I had a lp of 16 days (my usual is 11), I Oed 7 days after my last pill so I would probably hold out hope for another few days.

I'm on Clomid and Met for PCOS.

I would test about every 5 days - leave 5 days between each test so you don't drive yourself mad.

Thanks everyone its good to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Im not sure when I o'd as the gyno didnt explain that to me. I think he is hoping that I can just go with the flow and some kind of miracle happen.

I have bought some OPK & pregnancy tests and a thermometer to help me a little more. Also considering the Instead cups but not too keen on the idea!

I have also had cramps on three separate occasions, could this possibly be a little or the on her way??

Could be either hun, I conceived on Clomid and was absolutely convinced that I was out! You not had had any scans or blood tests to confirm OV? Maybe speak to your cons about it

Not had anything like that, i have to go back after 3 rounds of clomid which will be July, thats if the arrives (hope not!!)

Still no sign today but have an "odd" feeling in my tummy.

It makes me soo mad that come PCTs offer out clomid and then just leave it. The dose they have given you may not be enough, its quite common to OV later than "normal" and I think it should be monitored! In the long run they would spend far less money! Sorry, end of rant, lol.

lol they have given me 50mg not sure if that is the lower, medium or higher dose. They didnt really give me any indiciation as to how bad my PCOS is or anything.

I should have asked more questions but was so excited that they were going to start me off with the treatment

Thats a low dose, altho I do know people who had to go onto 25mg as they got overstimulation on 50mg. I started straight away on 150mg but I had follicle tracking (so they can see how big the follicles are getting) and HCG shot to trigger OV when they are the right size
