Clomid users..What dose were you on and what cycle on clomid did you get BFP?

I was on 50 mgs (3-7) for 3 months, then the fourth month was bumped up to 100mgs. That did the trick! No side effects.

I just love reading these old threads with people TTC at the time, and seeing their tickers now while pregnant. My favourite passtime is going into the TTC forum and seeing all the ladies posts wishing so hard for thier BFP and all of them either being pregnant or having had a kid. It gives me tender feelings inside

when i stopped taking bcp after 3 and a half years i wasn't having periods. I would go 4 or 5 months before i realized something was wrong so i'd call the doctor. They put me on provera to induce a period, and that was supposed to jump start my body into getting back into a regular cycle. Unfortunately, it didn't and i'd go another 3 or 4 months with no period. They put me on 50 mg days 5-7 and I used opk's to help predict when we needed to bd. I never got a +, but actually started a period on my own after that first round! So i went back to the doctor again and they upped my dosage to 100 mg and told me to take it days 3-7. I ovulated on cd 17 ( i think ) and got my bfp! This round of clomid was awful though. I felt ALL the effects (hot flashes, mood swings, irritability, horrible acne) and was hoping i wouldn't have to take it again!

I would recommend using the clear blue easy digital ovulation predictor test, the ones that give you a smiley or a blank circle. They are easy to read and you can take them at any time of the day. Good luck!

I conceived on round 3 at 100mg days 3-7. No PCOS! Took mine at night before bed, did not notice side effects but also on metaformin for 6 months so any side effects I would have attributed to that!

1st Round at 50mg, was my 12th cycle TTC. Just found out Thursday there are twins!

Second cycle 50 mg days 2-6 after first cycle of 50 mg days 5-9 that did not make me ovulate. Stay positive, it shocked me to see that it had actually worked! Now 5 weeks pregnant! Lots of side effects however, terrible hot flashes, worse cramping, little weight gain. I was on it for endo, as I was not ovulating because of how it messed with my hormones, not for PCOS.

Round 1= Clomid 50mg days 5-9 result: BFN
Round 2 = Clomid 50mg days 5-9 result: BFP 15 dpo, miscarriage 5 weeks
Round 3 = Clomid 50mg days 3-9 result: JACKPOT!! BFP 15DPO now 12w3d!!

Hi everyone I was just thread stalking when i came across this. For those of you who didnt have pcos, did your doctors make you have your tubes flushed out first before prescribing clomid or did they just ask your history and go ahead and give it to you? Thanks.

Please be careful with Chlomid. I conceived my first daughter with the
help of Chlomid on a second cycle and everything was fine. For my second pregnancy
I once again conceived on my second cycle , but this time my baby girl did not make it.
They found that she had issues at 12 weeks of pregnancy and I had to terminate. All my test results came up normal (chromosome) , and even though doctors will deny it, we truely believe that chlomid could be the reason. FDA is not yet able to prove it( They had a study on chlomid and birth defects) because thank god there are not enough people who faced the problem . THe chances are very low , but you would not want to be 1 out of 100,000 statistic. Please be safe rather then sorry. THis message is not intended to scare people but rather to educate
