Clomid what to expect

Hi all.. We're starting clomid hopefully next month.. I have been off the pill for 10 months and had very irregular cycles between 40 and 90day . all bloodwork is fine oh is having a semen test within the next 3 weeks and I have an ultrasound on the 26th...
If all these are well I will be prescribed clomid..
What should I I expect side affects etc any advice would be great thank you...

Do you have a fertility condition too? I have PCOS I only have one boy he's 4 he was a letrozole baby.

Clomid made me have double vison and this black spot in my vision to so they stopped it immediately.

I am unsure.. All my tests are coming back clear.. Well bloodwork wise the untrasound might show different I have my smer test today hopefully that will be good oh sperm test and untrasound in the next 3 weeks then onto clomid xx

Hiya, I conceived my daughter on clomid, side effects were manageable but not nice, hot flashes, severe headaches, irritability, bad mood, emotional, it took us 5 rounds to concieve, but completely worth it, we are ttc again and currently on round 1, I'm in my tww xx

With PCOS sometimes blood work can be normal and sometimes on ultra sound they can see it. Only if you have it of course.

Mine are the same I come off the pill in September first cycle was 40 days then 96day 70 day 38 days and now on day 39 and and getting older

I cant even begin to say how long my cycles are, I've never been on the pill due to PCOS and I'm scared of it effecting my hormones and chances to conceive and also apparently weight gain is a common side affect which I do not want as I'm struggling with my weight at the moment, that's the first thing I need to get down as I know the Gynaecology clinic wont give my any fertility help until my weight is down...

I have put soo much weight on since coming off the pill.. September gone from 7st 13 to 10st 1 it's horrible crampy on and off all the time xxx

I did lose 4 pounds last month but I gave up a lot as I was always hungry and craving the wrong types of food and I gave in to temptation, and ended up putting it back on plus an extra pound My PCOS makes me gain weight so easy!

By the way on a brighter note my son is also named Charlie

Am very luck as my uncle is a Prof of ivf so I can go at anytime... I just waiting on a ultrasound with NHS on the 26th soon as results are back from that am onto private care x

Its just them 2 weeks wait its good when you have family that specialise in ivf

My inbox is always open too. Will it be the clomid you will be given??

Up to now he said that's what most likely will be the first steps but that all depends on the scan and oh sperm test.. I just hope they come back OK.. otherwise its ivf and of course we get it alot cheaper but its still an expense we could do without x

So I have had my scan.. It was good and bad news I suppose.. My left ovary has has a number of cysits on and looks like it is not ovulating.. But my right looks OK with one dominant folical awaiting instructions.. She looked at my lining of the uterus and said it looked like I was at the start of my cycle but am day 45.. So it looks like am missing evey other af due to not ovulateing on my left side..


So time to get saving for the first round of clomid
