Hi girls, I'm using cloth on little one and loving it. I didn't think I'd want to use cloth wipes, but now I'm using the nappies, I can't understand why I thought I wouldn't want to!! However I've looked on too many shop sites and now I can't decide what to use and where to get it from. Have looked on Fill your pants, wee notions, Little Lamb, Totnes COmpany, Cheeks and Cherries, and I've got myself sooooooooo confused. Can someone give me an idea for a basic stater kit please????

Snap! I will be stalking your thread lol

To start with I'd just get some cheap and cheerful ones so you can try them out. I would steer clear of ones that are just plain fleece though as they tend to smear poo around, yuk!

I like these:

Value wipes - https://www.babykind.co.uk/wipes.htm#washablewipes
Nappies by Minki fleece and terry - https://www.minkinappies.co.uk/prod...d=144&osCsid=112c13fea5c195f65015bbf947233889

And anything by Weenotions :)

I've got nature babies ones. Can't remember where from but lots of people sell them. They have terry one side and fleece the other and I find them a good size. I've got 30 ( I think) but only make up about 15 in solution each time and you don't have to let them dry so you could get away with less. Although I was recommended to have 40.

There are much cheaper ones like junior joy terrors but some people say they fray at the sides.

I use these

And have a little spray bottle of camomile tea which I spray on each wipe as I need it. I think it was £1.79 for 30 tea bags from holland and barrett and each Brew is good to use for three days. They're easier to take out and about too as you just have dry wipes and a little spray bottle! The wipes are terry one side and fleece the other and I love them! And they deal with poo so much better than disposable wipes cos the terry actually cleans his skin rather than smear it around (ick!) and then the fleece is nice and soft to finish :)

The HVs all comment on how nice his skin is, and I really believe the camomile has kept his skin soft and un-sore!

I got a full kit from cheeky wipes, it has everything in it you will need.

I ordered this on Saturday, can't wait to start using them, it'll be so much easier :happydance:

Thats a good point, if your allready using cloth the mini kit would do.

I use weenotions wipes, £6 something for 10 and they are bamboo velour on oneside and terry on the other. I also splashed out and got some lovely tie dyed pink ones from Millie's Nappies (think they are called fluffy bugs) and they were £3.95 for 4 but they are gorgeous and soooo soft! I also make up a wipe solution using some soap wafers by Sheepish Grins (google it!) and it is baby powder scented, smells lovely! I just carry a spray bottle around and dry wipes and then just spray on the wipe/lo's bum when it's change time, that way I don't have to carry loads of soggy wipes around.

I bought a cushie tushie wetbag aswell as it has a wipes compartment attached to the front of it so I put all the wipes in there. x
