hi just curious did any of you ladies who have give birth already go to hospital in what you where wearing and get changed there or did you change at home first? Xx

Im planning getting changed in hospital as I have a very comfy nighty set aside for when I get there as want to be as comfy as poss
saying that - will just be wearing leggings and vest top with flip flops to hospital so will be comfy anyway I guess

i might even end up going in my pjs. i wil if its night time. but seriously im thinking about going in in my pjs even if its the day hahaha!! awh no i would love to though!

with my dd i got changed from normal clothes to nightie at the hospital, i'm a pj girl normally and hate wearing nighties. i'll wear a nightie for the birth and then put my pj's on!

i work at the hospital and majority of the women come in dressed with hair done and make up panting lightly........ im like WTF!!!! im not gonna be going in lightly panting.... lol!!! i dont wanna be there any earlier than i need to be! pmsl!
So for me it will be what ever i have on at the time... day time and ive bothered to get dressed it will be clothes if i havnt got dressed will be PJ's of if i can get changed ill get a tshirt or oversized shirt and leggins on

thanks for the replies i'll probably go in some trackies and a vest top if its daytime and pjs if its night and change into my nightie when i get there  XX

Last time, I went in wearing what I'd dressed in that morning, so normal maternity trousers and a long top (mid thigh length). When it was time to be examined, I took the trousers off and left them off from then on. I was comfy, it wasn't too revealing and it was practical as it was basically like a nightie! This time, if it's day I'll go in in whatever I'm already wearing if it's comfy, or I might change into a long sleeveless dress I have. It can be hitched up when necessary. I'll have my nightie in my bag for if it's too warm or impractical. If it's at night, I'd still get dressed to go in and do the same thing. You don't always know if they'll keep you in - lots of times, contractions die down when you get to hospital and they don't even examine you! I'd feel a right prat turning up in my PJs only to be sent back home :D
