Hi
Im planning ahead!

Suddenly thought what am i going to waer after this bubba comes?? Where is good to buy tops which you can Bf in and dont have to get your flabby bits out in public? All the places in bought Maternity clothes in dont seem to have any, like Next, Dorothy perkins etc

Can anyone help??
Thanks:flower:

I think I am going to go with the two vest top idea or the vest top under a normal top so one goes up and one down.

ooh thats a good idea, but what do we in if its cold, i suppose lots of cardigans :)

This might help:

I think I will get a few nursing tops but not sure if I will BF in public. I don't know if I would be confident enough to do so, so may pump milk and bottle feed for those occasions. I don't know, I've never done it before so we'll see :)

I got 2 nursing t-shirts from H&M for £20 but you have to go to a store as I can't find any maternity stuff on their website. They're basic t-shirts, one black, one white so will go with anything and not too expensive. A friend of mine has been BF'ing her little one about a year and a half and lives in H&M nursing tops.

I've also just ordered this top in pink and black from next:

Not collected it yet so not sure what it's like in 'real life' but it looks a bit longer and looser than the H&M t-shirts and I like the pink colour so fx'd they fit ok.

Yeah I'll just add cardigans or jumpers as I would normally. I plan on bf for at least a year so there's no way I am restricting myself to "nursing clothes". I like low V neck clothes anyway so I think it'll work.

Buy a poncho! These are warm and perfect for feeding in winter :)

I got a bargain today in matalan sale.have been looking for ages with no success.my plan is that no one will see anything if baby is under a poncho and hopefully won't even notice what I'm doing.they won't look twice I hope.anyway its not quite a poncho but a very very big knitted jumper which looks like a poncho with short sleeves.I won't use the sleeves so its very close.20p pounds down to 5! I also got some buttoned tops :)

Poncho is a great idea, I have a couple already so that's me sorted !

I found nursing tops a bit of a faff to be honest - mainly because my huge boobies didn't line up with the covenient little peepholes! Also, there isn't a huge range and I found many of them to be quite frumpy. Ok for hanging around at home, but who cares if you get your knockers out there???

I ended up wearing normal tops with a bump band underneath. Honestly, best £10 ever spent I think it was a 3 pack from New Look, don't know if they still do them. Pull your top up and your belly band is still there to cover your flabby bits but not get in the way of your feeding. I also got a lot of wear out of cardigans - especially ones that are a bit drapey at the sides. They stop people getting a front row view without you or baby getting too warm.

Bump bands are great. Also, if you go to Primark and buy some of their really cheap tops, you can cut them off under the arm and make your own non-maternity bump bands (or use some stretchy tops you already have but don't wear anymore). Nursing tops are really not necessary. I nursed my DD until self-weaning and never had a nursing top. I do LOVE the Frugi nursing dresses though and may treat myself to one!

Oh and Mothercare have 'post pregnancy' vest tops which seem great. They have nursing clips and have support panels around the back and tummy! They are £16, but you can wear them under other tops and they'll suck in your Mummy tummy and give easy boob access.

Have a wee look on amazon, they are quite good with this stuff xx
