Co-sleepers / bed rails

My LO is now 6 months and we have really enjoyed co-sleeping, though I only started due to his frequent feeding

I have searched on a lot of threads, and a lot of you mention bed rails. At the moment we have a side-car arrangement going on with his cot but we are soon to be selling the house and the cot is going to have to come out of our room whilst we do this.

All the bed rails I can see have small mattress widths on and things.....do any of you have a bed rail on a double bed? And if so which one / is it one that is designed for a double bed, or do they fit okay anyway?

Afaik, only the baby Dan rails will fit all beds the others have sticky up bits and will only extend to 3ft
