cold remedies

Hi Girls,

I have another cold really fed up as ive had one pretty much for the last 8 weeks. I can deal with having a cold but i want to be able to enjoy my xmas dinner not go to all the effort to not be able to taste anything. Ive been lookin through the internet and it says i can use nasal saline sprays and vicks vapour rub do you girls no of any other good remedies so i can taste my xmas dinner.

Benadryl or Sudafed to clear the sinuses.

No - do not take any decongestant tablets or sprays. They should not be taken in pregnancy. I work in pharmacy and I know for definate that most cold/flu remedies are off-limits. Steam inhalation is a very safe and effective way to clear you sinuses, plus the remedies you mentioned - vicks vapour rub and saline nasal spray. If in doubt I'd say speak to the pharmacist first. x
