So all the way through this pregnancy, I have had the mentality of "shes gotta come out somehow" not really worried about it, well last night (4am) I was lying in bed thinking "oh sh*t this might actually hurt, alot" completely freaked out lol
:dohh:
Started tryna think of ways to convince my MW ima NEEEEED a caesarian LOL
:haha:
Buh am ok again now, im back to "shes gotta come out somehow, and atleast if it really hurts I can ask for the drugs"
:haha:
Stilll gonna try have my natural waterbirth as planned buh i  if it really hurts i wont be objecting to drugs like I originally said :haha:

Hello :hugs::hugs:

I am about to have my 4th and have got through 3 births on gas and air alone. If birth was really that bad i would never of had more than 1 lol.

It will hurt but it's a pain that you cannot describe. I try and relax and think it's just a day out of my life and it will end and i will have a lovely baby at the end of it.

Honestly it's never as bad as you imagine. I am sure that when it's all over you will be very proud of yourself and you may even do it again someday lol.

Good luck :hugs::hugs: I know you will be just fine :hugs::hugs::hugs:

I had this last night. All the way through not worried and thought oh lets go for a waterbirth with just gas and air. Well last night turned to my DH and said "That is it I am going on delivery suite as I will prob want an epi." Gone back to not caring as much this morning

Try not to worry too much. You always have the option to have an epidural if you need it. I had an epi with each of my boys, and it was a god send, I would totally recommend it lol

It didn't hurt to have it put in, and the relief was amazing.

this is my first and i feel the same, i dont think people can say 'its not that bad' when every birth and mum is different, some people say its the worst pain ever, some mums labours last 4 hours some last 40 hours, theres no point in really thinking about it too much, what will be, will be, its going to happen no matter what. Hopefully we wont think its that bad! x

I think some of it can also be attributed to your mental attitude when labour starts. If you're convinced it's going to be the worst pain ever and you can't cope then you wont!!

Try and keep a positive attitude for as long as possible that you are in control and everything's fine. It's going to get worse but that you can cope, etc etc. A supportive birth partner to talk you through will also help :)

I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine!

Just keep an open mind OJ, you do not have to be a martyr, if you feel you need drugs then take them. No one will think you're less of a woman or mother because you had pain relief. There is nothing wrong in trying to make things as easy as possible for yourself - labouring and child birth is hard work. It's your body - not any other womans.

This was me aswell at 4am this morning! I cant really think about it too much,Im just going to live in my own little lala world until the time comes and think happy thoughts haha! I had a c section and going for a vbac so I am just as clueless as if this was my first labour!

Have a bash at reading this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hypnobirth...rtable-Childbirth/dp/0285637711/ref=pd_cp_b_0

Or anything on hypnobirthing. I've just finished an antenatal course in it. It might be mumbo jumbo, it might not work. But it MIGHT, and I'm a lot less scared than I was before! Apparently the more you scare yourself, the more you tense up so the more it hurts...

Either way, the baby's health is the most important thing, and as you say, she's coming out some how! So if you want pain relief, go for it, and don't feel bad. It's your baby, and there's no one else has to push it out! Good luck!!!!!!
