I have some questions following my ERPC 2 weeks ago yesterday as I'm not sure what is going on?

I was sadly diagnosed as having a MMC, on Friday 2nd September, during a scan, the baby had no heartbeat at 8w2d  and I'm not sure my exact weeks though think I'd have only been about 8-10 weeks :( I opted for an ERPC on Tuesday 6th. All was successful and I had small bleed that day after then a very small amount the following day then it all dried up so was having tiny bits of brown when I wiped.

The following week around 14th Sept I started to have a bleed which I thought was AF as it was a week after the bleed from my ERPC stopped (I'm really irregular due to pill so don't know what my cycle is. This lasted about 3 days until Friday 16th, very light but red then towards the end of the bleed went to brown. Its pretty similar to a bleed I'd have on the pill which I haven't started retaking.

Then again on Monday / Tuesday I started to have a tiny bleed, more a bit of brown when I wiped so now I'm wondering what is happening, its pretty much stopped again now. I'm not having any cramping or pain with any of these.

I'm just not sure what is happening? We have had .... since the ERPC, a few times using withdrawal then a little accident on Sunday could it be associated with this? We also did prior to the scan.

Just wondered if this was similar to anyone elses experiences? Should I be worried about anything?

Thanks guys

Hello Nothing

I also had an ERPC on the 6th September, I bled alot during the procedure but I only had spotting for about 3 days after which was mostly brown! Then it totally dried up, about 10 days after I bled quite a bit but stopped again the same day! Then a few days after that I bled again for 1 day! It seems to have totally stopped now so im assuming it's normal and just my body trying to get back to normal.

I have done so much googling about it all as its so frustrating and worrying not knowing what is going on with your body, It seems that it is different for everyone, but I think they say if the bleeding it very heavy or your in alot of pain then to get checked out.

Im so sorry for your loss :hugs:

Thanks for your reply, I'm doing better now trying to look to the future, it's harder as we weren't ttc therefore my husband has no immediate plans to try again :(

So you don't think it's af? I just want to get past that to know my body is going back to normal? just find it weird that I've had 2 occasions of 2 day bleeds with about 5-7 days of no bleed in between since my erpc.

Sorry to hear of your loss too.

Have to say Your little man on your avatar is well cute though!

I think im just as confused about it as you are! I am guessing it is not AF but I am no expert, I was thinking maybe the bleeds were just whatever was left over making its way out. Its so hard knowing what is what with all this bleeding, im always paranoid im going to start bleeding when out and about so am always wearing pads!

So sorry to hear about your husband not wanting to try again any time soon :( My situation is a little similar, we were not trying either and I had only had 1 af since breastfeeding my LO so now my OH is in no rush to try again, although its a little different for me as I had a partial molar pregnancy so I can't try again for at least 6 month anyway.

Aww thank you, he is a little cutie! x

I guess I'm lucky as mine is very light and only when I wipe sorry if tmi...

I'm not sure what a molar is but it sounds awful especially as uou can't try for so long. I wasn't told how long but I guess we didnt ask. My oh says we can talk in the new year when were more financially secure as were paying a loan off so I guess it's not long. Were not using anything though I want a break from the pill and I've tried to brooch rhe subject of what we use, he avoids the conversation though knows I'm not on the pill and is using natural method though forgot the other day I keep hoping maybe thats cos he's not worried but I'd imagine I'm wrong.

How old is your little one? X

I also wasn't sure what a molar was until I found out I had one, it is pretty rare!

I think men always look at the practical side of things alot more than we do, I know they like to feel they can provide. It does sound like maybe he doesn't want to actually say yes lets try now but it the meantime if it happens then all is good.

He is 15 months now, through all of this sadness he really does keep me smiling x
