Hey, was just hoping to get some advice, as I have never been pregnant or identified a positive line on a pregnancy test before...

I took a strip test under the brand 'one step' and it appears to be unclear...

the control line came up fine, but then another line, which I don't think is in the normal control region, appeared on the plastic bit just before it says 'Max'. It looks slightly thicker than the control line, but I'm completely unsure whether that would be normal, I assume it's not.. I've read about evaporation lines and stuff, so wanted to see if anyone could shed some light before I make a doctors appointment?

Any help would be much appreciated! :)

Can you take a photograph and post it? It doesnt sound like its in the right place tbh. It might just be a flaw in the test. Can you take another one?

An evaporation line would be where a second line would be anyway. It is usually colourless and more like a shadow.

The website won't let me upload a photo as I've only just joined up to it... it's so strange, I have taken 2 now and they have both just had the same outcome...
I was due to come on 3 days ago and haven't so that's why I'm unsure what it's trying to tell me!

Oh i see. Do you have to make lots of posts first? Would it help you if i showed you where the line should be on my test? I also used the one step tests.

ahh, thank you. the line i had was just further up, so don't think it's a positive.

Thank you :)

I'm wondering if yours might be where the dye pack came from? My OPKs sometimes leave a trace of dye in that area.
