Hello:hi:

Was going to post this in the LTTTC section but seeing as i got my BFP i though it would be a bit insensitive of me so thought i'd ask here and see if any of you girls could help....:)

Hubby and i have differing opinions so thought asking here might help me make my mind up:)

So, here is my story....

Hubby and I were referred to the FS as hubby had a very low sperm count:( we got told that conceiving naturally would be very hard seeing a they could only find 1 sperm in the samples they had tested. So our appointment to start treatment is on the 14th September....

Now that i have my BFP i don't know what to do:shrug: because i have not had my pregnancy confirmed by the doctors yet and i as i am only 5 weeks i was told not to visit the doc till i was at least 7 weeks, I a really confused:wacko:....

Should i still go to my GP or should I ring and just cancel it?

Thank you:flower:

I made an appointment with my doctor at between 5 and 6 weeks. He just made some notes then my midwife contacted me at 8 weeks. Not sure where you live. I am in the uk x

I guess you dont need the treatment now because you are pregnant (and I dont want to be depressing or negative... but if you mc.. (fingers crossed you don't) you are far more likely to fall again - as your body is kind of 'pro pregnancy'...

So If I were you I would ring the GP~ and say .. I have a postiive pregnancy test - and would like to have it confirmed by you to cancel the FS appointment - that way you are sure it is not a doddgy test - and you are not using the appoint that another mama might be desperatly be waiting for...

HTH

of course if you have done many tests and KNOW you are PG then I would just cancel the FS...

BTW Congratulations and hears to a h&h 9 months!

Hey tigs that was my point exactly! i was thinking the same thing and that i don't want to go to the appointment as there is probably someone else out there who is desperate for treatment...

i think that is what i will do, i will ring my GP and say that they will need to confirm my pregnancy and then cancel the appointment.

Thank you girls:)

Happy and Healthy 9 months to you too:)

Explain it to your GP and say you need confirmation so that the other appointment can be cancelled. I went to my GP as soon as I found out as I've had 3 miscarriages and was worried as I was getting treated for a kidney infection.

Your GP should be able to test your hcg levels and confirm it for you.
