Anybody else getting constant headaches? I don't like to take too many tablets fir them, but nothing seems to work :( I have a nap in hope my head feels better, but usually it feels worse when I wake up. I also tend to feel sick with them too :(

Anybody got any good tips for helping with headaches?

YES! I have been having tension headaches off and on for the last three or so weeks; paracetamol was doing nothing, so....I asked my consultant ob/gyn and she said (in moderation) solpadene (for a few days only. I took one dose only Wednesday, Thurs and Friday, free on Sat and Sun, and one dose today...). I have a massage booked for tomorrow and have explained that I need help regarding tension headaches and hopefully, this will help. (pls check with your GP before using anything, but in my case, was akin to the migranes I would get before pregnancy and I cannot take that very strong meds (or rather, I could), but don't want to)...also using cold eye gel mask on my eyes and/or back of neck, which helps.

best wishes....

Yes me too and paracetamol does nothing :-( and like you I don't like to take them often anyway. Make sure you drink plenty of water - apparently being dehydrated can cause them :-(

Glad I am not only one. Had a headache pretty much all of last week. They were waking me up at night and making me feel sick too. I struggled on at work until Thurs but by then enough was enough and just slept for whole day. I did put in a call to midwife and left a message but she has not called back (rubbish!) Feeling Ok today so fingers crossed it was just a blip but like you I didn't want to keep taking paracetemol. I was also prone to migraines so maybe linked? Hope you are feeling better

Thanks ladies :) I haven't taken any paracetamol yet today (or for a few days), so maybe I'll have one or two... I generally only take 1 at a time but maybe 2 would help :/ I have midwife in 2 weeks so I will ask her about the headaches then. It will take up to 2 weeks to get an appointment with GP so just as well wait haha.

Hope all you ladies feel better soon too :)

Well, what annoys me is that 10 minutes after solapadene - headache is gone! I really don't want to keep taking codeine (under doctor's ok and only occasionally -- just in case anybody is reading from this point and not my original note), so will let you know how message helps....poor baby, my husband is hopeful that it doesn't get my hormones. I said hardly likely as my migranes are related to my periods and we're having a boy!

best wishes

I increase my magnesium dosage and that seemed to help. Magnesium is natural and is a muscle relaxer. Also, tons of water and cold compresses help. Plus an occassional cup of coffee (good old caffeine) helps. I didn't want to make any meds so tend to go a more natural route.

Good luck!

Just to give some hope, I had daily headaches from about 13-16 weeks, but then they subsided. Hopefully it will for you ladies, too!

Thanks ladies, I hope they go away soon. Feels like I'm dying when the headache starts lol :(

Ugh, yes, i'm in this boat! I've had a constant, dull headache from around week 8 to now (15 weeks)...hoping it goes away sometime soon. Massaging my shoulders and the part where my skull meets my neck seems to help a little so maybe it's a tension headache? I don't know...

Putting cold on my head/eyes seems to help... I'll have to see if I can find an ice pack or some form of cold compress I can just leave in the fridge til I need it.
