Constipation

LO has constipation and she's mainly wanting to do her poops at night, midwife said I can't give her anything until 4 weeks. LO is 3 weeks, she's going once a day that's better than nothing I guess but hate seeing her in pain, anyone else have a similar problem ?

Our LO one constipated at 3 weeks and our health visitor advised cooled boiled water which worked a great, but as soon as we stopped it came back, we changed formula and he hasn't been constipated since only goes every other day but hv said its not about how often but what it looks like when it comes out xx good luck xx

Thanks for your reply, what was it like when it came out when he was constipated ? My LO poop is hard and yellow xx
