Hi Some of you guys might have read my previous thread about being on bedrest but I was just wondering how many of you guys have had issues with a corpus Luteum cyst in the 2nd trimester that resulted in issues! Mine causes me massive pain and is the size of a baseball currently! They are concerned because it doesn't seem to be shrinking and its full of blood! I didn't want to do to much research on it because I didn't want to scare myself but I'd like to hear about others experiences with Corpus Luteum Cyst Issues at 14+ weeks!

Oh no! That doesn't sound good! I know I had a corpus luteum cyst on the 12 week scan I think it was, but the technician just said we need to keep an eye on it, and
nothing was ever mentioned again. It didn't cause me pain! U must be unlucky, hopefully it should go away soon??x

are they keeping a close eye on it? id say make sure they do after babys birth too.

ive got a 10cm cyst on one of my ovaries was at consultants 2 weeks ago who said she wanted me to have it removed but i told her flatly not a chance!! im getting rescanned on tuesday to see what its doing. hope you're ok xx

mummy2anangel are you on bedrest now? Does yours hurt? please let me know what they say!

Right now I'm on bedrest because mine is full of blood and they are afraid of it rupturing! They are hoping it goes down in size soon! I'm about to be referred to a specialist soon if it doesn't go down in size! I live about 300 miles away from the nearest specialist so that's why its taking a while for me to be sent to a specialist!

hiya hun

my cyst caused me to deliver early because of pain so bad it surpassed any labor pain id ever had!

not to scare you as apparently my case ir rare, mine measured in at 6 inchs by 4 inches and had gone gangreaness, and twisted round my fallopian tube,

I was in hospital 3 days before I was delivered by emergency c section, in that time they tried all sorts of painkillers, even morophine didnt get rid of the pain entirely, and on the third day I sucked dry 9 cans of gas and air.

anyhow I delivered my twin girls at 34 weeks 5 days by enmergency section, which also resulted in the said cyst and fallopian tube being removed, which was ok as we dont want any more children

so make sure they monitor it closely hun, my doctor didnt and it got out of hand

wow thats scary! How long had you been dealing with the cyst before it got that bad? did they have you on bedrest at all? Mine feels better when I'm laying down but its freaking me out because its been a week and a half and I'm still not feeling any better than I was the day after they admited me into the hospital and put me on bedrest! I just don't know what happens if they can't get it under control! And that freaks me out cause I'm only 16 weeks baby could not survive on its own right now!

they didnt know it was the cyst till the section, they never thought to re check it! i was scanned three times but only the womb never the ovarie and tubes, I was fine all way through till I hit 34 weeks, then that was it
I was on rest as it was twins but not bedrest.

I had had cysts in both previous pregnancys and they never got bigger than 2 inches,
obviously the pressure of carrying two warped this cyst lol, at my first scan it was noted as 3cm by 2cm,

like I said mines a rare case and my consultant had only seen them go like that 4 times in his 15 years working.

just make them keep an eye on it, if wed have known wed have pushed for more.

luckily my girls are fine and are 3 weeks old today

I'm glad your babies are healthy! My Doc is monitoring me very closely and has me on bed-rest! I go in today to check to see where it is sitting at! I've had 5-6 ultrasounds in the last 2 weeks! They are being very cautious! My cyst is causing pain and I don't think its gone down cause i'm still in pain! But at-least I'll find out today what the plan of attack is! Thank you for sharing with me! I was beginning to wonder if anyone had much experience with it appearing after the 2nd tri started!! Cause they are suppose to go away completely around 12-14 weeks!

I don't have any advice, I'm just posting to send you well wishes. At least the doctors are aware of it and you can go from there.
