Hi ladies,

Just wondered if anyone would be able to recommend a mattress?? Where did you all get yours from? Is it worth spending the extra money to get a sprung one??

Thanks!!

:)

I got our mattress from kiddicare. I went for a sprung one.

Looks like a really good one and similar to how the ones in babies r us and mothercare are layered.

Much cheaper and fast delivery.

Hope that helps xxx

Also just wanted to add, the reason I went for a sprung one is that because we have a cotbed and the foam matress wouldn't last as long as the cotbed.

Xxx

That's where I got my sprung mattress from as well - Kiddiecare. Delivery was next day and it looks like a good mattress and I love the cotbed to :) x

we getting one from kiddicare aswell. we getting a sprung one for the same reason kaycee said , a foam matress wont last as long in a cotbed as a sprung one will. i imagine it to be more comfy aswell.

I brought a breathable sprung mattress from Mothercare for Holly's cot and got the exact measurements right so it fits in the cot perfect. Cost £90 (back in 2006) and I intend to use it for this baby as well as it still looks brand new and no wear and tear.

I got mine online:

I went for a sprung mattress as LO is likely to be using it for 3+ years so I felt it was worth the investment. I went for the coolmax option and the mattress came with a free waterproof sleeve. I ordered the mattress on a Sunday and it was delivered the following Thursday. Overall I am very happy with it.

After much deliberating, I have bought a Thermorest one for £80 from Babies R Us. Mainly due to the fact I went for a cotbed is why I thought I'd invest more and get a sprung one. Helped also by the fact that I signed up for the Toys R Us gold car, so ended up being sent a voucher for £10 off any purchase over £70. I'm really pleased with the mattress. Must say, it feels more comfortable than my own mattress!!!!
